Two weeks ago I had a deeply disappointing experience at Brutus. I arrived right at opening, first customer of the day, yet was refused my choice of table and given the worst seat. Minutes later, a couple without a reservation was seated where I had wanted.

No printed menu for me — only a QR code in English — while other foreign guests were given French menus. Despite telling the staff I was in a hurry for a train, my food took 35 minutes, while others who arrived much later were served and finished before me.

I still don’t understand why I was treated this way — was it because I was alone, or because I had a backpack? The food was tasty and the place beautiful, but the service felt dismissive and unfair. I left feeling humiliated and...

Sadly, we do not speak French, only English and German. Brutus was a very lucky find for us as the food and service were exceptional! I had the salad and my wife Richelle Suzette had the cheese and egg crepe and everything was amazing! A bottle of Gatefer 2020 was sensational ! Anna and David our servers were SO helpful and nice! Brutus is a place in which everyone will feel comfortable. When you see a French family with a small child outside you KNOW It is a great place! Total?? 69 Euros and we had a butter and sugar crepe for dessert as well and tipped Anna well for she is a doll! Brutus is a casual gem in...

Buckwheat crepes were deliciously awesome! Good quality ingredients. Loved the balsamic vinegrette. Usually not a fan of cyder, but here they have a wide variety to choose from. The wine was not that good. The waiter was very nice, although he couldn’t speak much English, but he was very accommodating. It says in google it opens at 6, but when we got there and seated, the waiter told us the kitchen wasn’t ready and we had to wait for another 20 minutes. In overall, we enjoyed the food and...

During my last holiday in Paris, I learnt about this place. We ate there 4 times after that. The food and drinks were really delicious and fresh. The sausage galette (Soizig) was my favourite but the one with Serrano Ham (Marie-Jose) is really delicious. The Somosas are a very nice starting as well. I recommend all dishes. We really liked it and will be back. Food is super delicious and affordable.
