Being an Asian Food lover (and Food in general too, next to my Cappuccino obsession), i never ever ever tried eating Banh Sung earlier on!
Having travelled around most Asian countries and lived there more than 12 years in Asia, i never heard or tried iiiiiiiitttt!!!! What a shame, because that dish is godly damned so good!!!!
Ok, here they adapted it by using Udon instead of the original thicker rice vermicelly, but we are in France and we cant find all the real original ingredients, so well done Guys, good job you have done to bring us the delicacy!
The place has a more night bar ambiance but good for dinner.
Hygiene: Good
Quality: Pretty good. The spring rolls were crispy and 1 layered rolled, so we could see a but or fried meat, which is not bad. The coconut taste was controlled and not too much overwhelming (too much and heavy coconut smell and taste are common mistakes but here it was balanced)
Price: Reasonnable
Service: In the first place, the waiter seems cold and distant but i think this is his character. In the end, he was very nice and open to share.
Location: Close to Montparnasse Train station so convenient to go especially if you are connecting or travelling. I can guess for people living there, this is a nice district to go out with many eateries and drinking options.
For me, good place for a short dinner. And also to enjoy drinks...
Read moreFirst ordered Satay Ayam and Green Mango salad to test the food. While the food was ok, Satay Ayam is always skewered chicken with sauce but what was served was chicken curry and rice. Tasted ok but why not call the dish what it actually is and just say chicken curry and rice? The Bo Bun and fish dish looked appetizing on the menu but was thoroughly disappointing when it arrived. The Bo Bun was simply udon noodles with their "Satay Ayam" sauce and fish sauce. Wanted to check it was right so asked the waiter and he confirmed that is exactly what their Bo Bun dish is. It was not nice, the chicken curry goes far better with rice! Then the white fish dish, they bring out the exact same Green Mango salad as we had for the starter and just add a few bits of white fish in it (cold and not pleasant) and give you rice on the side of this? What sort of dish is a cold fish salad with rice? Doesn't make any sense and charging almost €20 for this is a bit of a con. If you aren't after authentic indo food and you order the right dishes, this place might be ok but I certainly won't be back as I felt robbed...
