I recently visited this creperie that boasts about its buffet of crêpes. Our main attraction was their buffet, which offered unlimited galettes (savory crêpes) and crêpes (sweet ones) as well as unlimited beverages. Unfortunately, the galettes were not homemade, meaning they didn't make the galette dough fresh every day, instead they used pre-made galettes, they same that you can find in the supermarkets all around in France. However, the sweet crêpes were indeed homemade.
One observation we made was that they tend to stuff the galettes with a large amount of food just to make them look more generous and to make you feel satiated and full sooner (or so I guess). This conclusion was based on comparing the galettes we ordered with those coming out of the kitchen, which appeared less stuffed and more typical in size. Additionally, the quality of the ingredients used in the galettes was not exceptional, as they seemed to rely heavily on preprocessed supermarket food. For example, if you ordered a galette with chicken, they would use chunks of chicken that you could find pre-packaged at the supermarket for salads. Considering the price of each galette on the menu, especially since the savory ones are not homemade, one would expect slightly higher quality ingredients.
On the other hand, the crêpes themselves were decent, tasty, and good. However, they didn't have any standout qualities that made them particularly special. Nevertheless, overall, they were satisfactory.
I also want to mention that the service and the treatment we received from the staff at the restaurant were attentive...
Read moreI wanted a last order of crepes before my family and I ended our trip to Paris. We just left our tour of the Louve and I headed here while my family went back to the hotel to rest before heading back out for the evening. I walked in before realizing they were closed and it was 20 minutes before they were scheduled to open for the evening. The chef I encountered was kind enough to let me come in and use the bathroom anyway, and he told me I could wait inside or on the sidewalk seating area for the opening. The inside was inviting and cozy with a nice decor, but I opted for outside seating. As I was heading out, a waiter was coming in for work and when I explained I forgot to check the opening hours and would simply wait a bit, he brought me a menu and silverware within minutes anyway. Even though I was there before opening, he took my crepe and coffee order, and I was served a lovely meal on their sidewalk seating area. The crepes (one lemon sugar and one caramel) were fantastic, but the kindness of the chef and waiter to cook and serve me a bit early exceeded any service I had elsewhere in Paris and London during our vacation. Thank you for wonderful crepes and...
