We had a lunch here as our first meal in Paris . Not a good start of our trip. We have two persons, had the mixed barbecue plate. There is a picture on the menus and marked as 22.5 euros. The food is edible, to say the best. Even worse is, I think they cheated on our bill. The plate marked as 22.5 euros, the serving is one plate, exactly as the picture on menu, not a double portion. But when check out, he charged 45 euros, and said the price is for one person. And he does not speak English. We did not know if this is the norm of Paris, just paid and left. Avoid this place. Can’t cook well is ok. Dishonest is the worst.

The first time I ate there was 2 August 2025. I had the fixed menu. I was impressed the server was kind. Meal was great. I thought I would make it a regular place to eat out.

Today 11 August 2025 (two weeks later) terrible experience, probably because he thought I was a stupid american and I speak with an accent. He wouldn't let me have any of the other entrées and would only give me a crappy salad. The steak came out as indistinguishable meat (once again, he gave me no other options). He tried to make me choose the cookies as a dessert. When I said no, he made me serve myself and bring my dessert to the table. When I went to pay, he tried to get me to pay in cash. When I said I had none, he asked me to pay in dollars. I told him I don't live in the United States. Finally let me pay with card.

I have no idea why my second experience was so terrible when the first was so pleasant but I'm never coming back again. If this is because I am a foreigner, I'm...

Christmas in Paris is great, except that virtually all the restaurants are closed. We walked around our hotel and finally found a place that was open. The menu outside was inviting, but when we got inside we were tools that the menu wasn't available.

They finally produced a menu and GF ordered the steak (medium) and a carafe of water.

They brought a bottle of water, making her upset.

The salad I ordered was spread thin across the plate to look like a lot, but was a little. Her medium steak came out like shoe leather, we tried to tell them but they just walked away.

Nothing was worth the price, not the portion sizes or the quality. I'm sure we'll love the restaurants when they open up after the Christmas holiday, but this place knew they had Christmas-restaurant exiles on this...

What we thought was a lovely night full of hospitality came to a terrible end. Several meat plates were served to us and we were told that they were free. Pints were charged at €11.50 each without warning or indication anywhere. Chicken meat was of low quality. The bill, which came to multiple hundreds of euros for a 4 hour stay, was definitely purposely inflated by the dubious manager as there was no proper ordering system. This allowed for him to make up the bill manually as he liked. The fact that I spoke French still resulted in us getting charged with what was clearly predatory tourist prices.

Avoid, what a horrible end to my parents trip...
