My visit to Les Caves du Louvre in Paris was absolutely incredible and definitely a highlight of my trip. This wine cellar is like no other, offering an immersive journey into the world of French wine. It's a perfect blend of education, interactivity, and pure enjoyment that you won't find anywhere else.
The workshop and guided tour provided a comprehensive understanding of the wine-making process, delving into how weather and geology affect the taste of wine. The amount of information presented was seriously impressive, even for someone like me who already knows a bit about wine.
What really stood out about Les Caves du Louvre was their innovative approach to exploring wine. The core samples of different terroirs were mind-blowing, giving you a tangible experience of how the environment shapes the character of a wine. And let's not forget the smelling room with its fun smell quiz game – it was a unique and engaging way to learn about wine aromas. I loved how interactive it was!
Throughout the tour, you could tell that the sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about French wine. They really made the experience educational and entertaining at the same time. The app they provided was also super helpful, giving you even more information and a personalized touch to the tour.
Les Caves du Louvre is more than just a wine tasting, it's an educational adventure that gives you a deeper appreciation for French wine. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just curious, I highly recommend adding this experience to your list when you're in Paris. With their expert knowledge, interactive elements, and amazing cuvée, it'll be a memorable experience you...
Read moreI came on a wine tour here. the misure that did my tour was amazing and knew a whole lot about wine!!! he knew maybe as much as I did because I used to work in catering!!! he did a very good job too tell us all a out the wine and everything to know!! very good job in the explanation and detial outline. he was very good at answering questions, even my question about Italian wine when I had recalled the super Tuscan possibly saying it was Bordeaux. I really enjoyed this!!
unfortunately I bought my ticket from Google Maps using the link. there ticket service didn't tell me my wine class was going to be all French on the Sunday of it, but it had been canceled.
the wines were all very good!! I was actually full and thought I wouldn't finish and had all three of the wines I had!!! they were really good and loved them!! I I a big difference between American and French wine is full or medium body wine!!! it can get confusing since there is so much to the details of wine!!! I really loved my tour am so glad I got to do this on my weekend there!!!

Read morey friend and I visited this place last minute as a part of the Paris pass and it did not disappoint! We had two options, self guided tour (via a free app you download using their free WiFi), or a tour guided tour through the cave. We chose the self guided (this one inclued a free bottle of wine each). It was so great! The app was very well made, very informative, and fun! The tour was interactive with quizzes and guessing games. We learned about the entire wine making process in a way that we had not before. We both have been on various other wine tours and tastings, but none like this. When it came to the tasing, each wine was smooth and unique. I prefer sweeter wine, and I was a fan of all 3. At the end, you had the opetion to take home the house wine for free or pay the difference in the price for another type. We chose one person to take the free 'house' wine and the other bought one for 7€. The staff was kind and explained the difference between the wines and why each was so unique. Definitely a must attend if using the Paris pass and have an hour or...
