Itacate Cocina Mexicana — Restaurant in Paris

What a wonderful treat to my senses. Have been hearing about this wonderful place from sometime. The cadre was simple but comfortable. The staff was very friendly and adaptable. We were informed that Guacamole was finished for the day and we were disappointed.(We really wanted to taste this, we mentioned this to a staff member) So the staff came in sometime with a complimentary Guacamole and nachos. Perfect guacamole with exact amount of lemon, crushed lemon and tomatoes. And Nachos were home made not industrial. We ordered Tacos which was good (we ordered cheese tacos, cheese mushrooms), a little bit of sauted vegetables (onions and bell peppers) would have made them awesome with either guacamole or Chipotle sauce. EDIT: Came back for a second time and the food is still delicious but the staff was still extremely slow and basically ignored us the whole time. They'd come to out table to take away glasses and just walk away and each time we had to chase after to get a refill on drinks. I'm not sure if the portions got smaller but this time with appetizer and everything we still left a little hungry.

Good authentic Mexican food! I'm Mexican and it's taken me about 7 months since living here to find GOOD Mexican food and this place is it! The food was very flavorful just like my mom's cooking and the staff was super friendly. The portion sizes are perfect and I left super stuffed and satisfied. I am mexican. I visited this place last week and the taste is good! No joke... i ordered a Quesadilla with beef and i got a quesadilla with 4 pieces of chopped beef the size of my finger tip. I wish i could post a picture. I asked the cook if this is how its supposed to be and she said yes. I thought well it might be their attempt of fine dinning, but the place is not fancy at all and theres no presentation on the plate. To be honest this might not be a proper representation of mexican food. If you try it please do not generalize and don't think all mexican restaurants are like this.
