Maison Lautrec — Restaurant in Paris

We came in around 21.30, all tables were taken. We had not booked but we asked for a table. The waiter discussed with his coworkers and then said that they would have a table for us in 15 minutes. He asked us to wait at a bar downstairs where he would come and get us. The bar, which neither had a bartender nor any people present, looked more like a strip club with its strip pole and worn in couches shaped in a half circle around it. Hilarious, if not for the fact that we had not eaten for a really long time. At 22 the bartender had shown up, we had gotten an expensive set of drinks, finished them and decided to go look for the waiter whom promised to get us 15 minutes prior. Our original waiter was gone and the next one did not understand that we had already asked for a table 40 minutes before our present discussion. The decor, food and atmosphere were great. However, the experience got strongly negatively impacted by the waitress who welcomed us on Saturday (curly blonde hair) who wanted us to seat at the table by the entrance door whilst there were many other tables available for 2. We kindly asked if we could sit further in the restaurant to avoid getting the fresh air of the entrance, as it was a cold winter night. The response without explanation was no. Surprised by the answer I asked again pointing options we could consider. The answer was NO. We sat down, but asked another waiter if we could change table. Horrible service, 0 respect for customers. We booked a table for 20.00, and waited until 22.00 to get it. According to the waiter people who came before us were taking their time and there’s nothing they could do to rush them. What’s the point of the reservation then? Lol. The “10 min more and you get the table”, “30 min more and the table is yours” ended up being 2h of wait. But it doesn’t stop there. The stuff was either high or drunk, made mistakes with drinks we ordered, and when we finally got to the so long-awaited table, very hAngry, turns out some of the dishes were not available.
