I have been to Piccolo Caratello twice because their dishes are so amazing. The place is small but quaint. Last night, we went for dinner at 8pm. And it was a good thing I reserved a table a few days before because the place started getting packed a few minutes after we sat down our at our table. I ordered their Rigatoni Forestiera. My sisters ordered the lasagne parmigiana de melaneza and the linguini frutti de mare and my mother-in-law got their Ravioli Fellini. Their portion was huge and the price afforadable! We also got a tiramisu to shareand two glasses of res wine. The total total bill came to €88! Four dishes, two glasses of wine and a dessert and it didn’t go over €100! Can’t beat that! I love this place for everything, the food, the friendly owner/manager and staff, the ambience. I highly recommend everybody go to this restaurant when you...
Read moreBy pure chance we came across this lovely little Italian restaurant, in the heart of Montmartre's best neighborhood.
The restaurant doesn't have a lot of seating, so if we had arrived 1/2 hour later, we would have had to queue for a table. The staff was so nice that we felt at home from the first minute.
The food was unmistakable, because it was so tasty and authentic Italian, it was a particularly good dining experience. We found that the table next to us wanted pizza and this restaurant did not deliver, that but they had a partner restaurant next door that could deliver pizza.
The place is decorated in a minimal space, which gave this special intimate atmosphere and dining experience that few restaurants manage.
It is definitely not the last time I eat here, because the place calls for a return visit. You should treat yourself to...
Read moreExcellent small restaurant that's an offshoot of the bigger Ristorante al Caratello right across the street. It's more intimate, but I think has essentially the same menu (and you can also order pizza from Pizza Caratello next door). We came here twice (because it was so close to our hotel, and we enjoyed it so much the first time). I got the Rigatoni Amatriciana the first time, which was cooked to a perfect al dente and tasted great. The second time, I got a Pizza Napoletana, which was also excellent -- really nice crust. For dessert, I got the Flute Limoncello, which was very refreshing, especially given how warm a day it was.
Service was very friendly and attentive. I heard a lot of Italian being spoken by staff, so it seemed pretty legit. I would highly recommend this place over the nearby Le Chinon, in terms of food...
