The food was simply sublime; fresh, delicious, beautiful & crafted with so much love, attention to detail, & care. Mehdi (je suis vraiment désolé pour l'orthographe incorrecte), chef(s), & team took such great care of us. They went out of their way to cater to our dietary preference/ restriction (i.e. Vegetarian). We were confused & jet lagged tourists who just landed in Paris; Mehdi & team made us feel so Welcome & catered to our language & dietary restrictions with endless patience & Love. The Vegetarian food was some of the best food; truly crafted with care, love, & delicious. The friendliness, warmth, & pride the team has towards their craft & customers is palpable and cannot be missed. Just go here. Now for the details. The overall atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. We were greeted at the door viewing the menu on the wall and promptly seated. The food here is fantastic. The flavor profiles are a fresh Asian fusion. The portion sizes are big but the food is light so it work. The prices are very low in my opinion for the portion of food and the quality of the food you receive. I cannot recommend this place enough. Even if I’ve mostly tried to avoid tourist traps, still I found the staff in many other restaurants/cafes quite bored and tired which transcends directly to customers. Anyways, the people in Ecru loves what they do and are so kind to customers even though it might be overwhelming in a busy area like this.
