Terry's Café — Restaurant in Paris

The food taste was good, nothing exceptional nor bad either. Considering the long menu that they have you can’t expect too much from the food I think. The prices though are a bit high without the fork offer, maybe it is because of the location but we found it pricey. Nevertheless, the service is really disappointing. The waitress came to take our order without noting it and came back several times to ask our order, at the second or third time she came back with a notepad. It is really annoying to repeat four times your order… moreover we had a table located under a heater in the veranda when we arrived and once the people at the next table left, one of the waiter asked us to move to this table located near the veranda where it was cold. It is the first time, I’m experiencing a restaurant where once installed, we were asked to move… Overall, I believe you can experience another restaurant so I wouldn’t recommend...

My partner and I went here for dinner on our first night in Paris, we shared the bruschetta for entree and we both ordered the entrecote for our main meals. I did think at the time that the entrecote was overly seasoned. Just over an hour after finishing dinner, my partner started feeling very unwell in the tummy. We weren't sure what was wrong until I started feeling the same about an hour after him. We then spent the entire night with vomiting and diarrhoea in our hotel room, we have never had food poisoning before and it was horrendous. Once we stopped running to the toilet, we both had fevers and cold chills. We were unable to leave our hotel room for 36 hours and were only in Paris for 3 days. Eating at this restaurant completely ruined our Paris experience, we missed our only 2 tours (approx. $900) and could not rebook because the tours were fully booked out. Would not recommend this...

I dined here last April 17 2022, booked the restaurant through the app TheFork, I saw that they have a deal of 50% off on certain items on their menu so I took bait! When we got there, we were greeted and seated right away, when I told the staff that I have booked the table from the app and that they have an ongoing promotion, they said that no discounts will be applied and that they simply forgot to take the promotion off that app. So of course, we didn’t leave as it would be embarrassing on our part to do so, we ordered and had a decent meal.

I reported the incident on TheFork and they asked me for a receipt, I didn’t bother picking up the receipt as I was upset, I called the restaurant and said they cannot issue me a copy.

Posting this as a warning to everyone that DO NOT BOOK YOUR TABLE THROUGH THE FORK FOR...
