Académie de la Bière — Restaurant in Strasbourg

So, 1rst time coming , we got refused, even so there was place for us, because we are goth, 2nd time, no security, so didn't get refused, yet, i wish we got refused,

The food was eatable I'd say, plain, unbalanced in the tastes and frankly, boring. Also, pricey.

Got sat fast, the workers are really sweet, and amicable, to that, nothing to say.

We took a burger each, the veggie one, 7.30€ (iirc) i gave him my part. The vegetable patty was lackluster, the goat cheese was industrial, the bun was bland, the curry sauce was inexistent, the salad was good, the tomato slice was okay too. The fries coming with the food were okay.

Asked for an Alsacian Salad (without the cervella nor the pickles) 13€ (iirc), it was mid, not repulsive, or even bad, i would've said enjoyable if it was accompanied by an Alsacian vinaigrette.

The worst part was maybe the atmosphere, very pleasant at first, we were asked to change table, which, in itself wasn't the problem, but we got sat beside a table of loudmouths, screaming and laughing like they were alone, one guy was eyeing us, making me highly uncomfortable, also, maybe screaming at the top of your lungs about your intimate life making the other clients and the friend your said intimate life involves at a restaurant is neither classy nor demure, do better. So, sat beside them we were, and, the table we got moved from wasn't used, when we left, it was free, so, we got moved, and basically ruined part of the pleasure (that maybe would've made even the burgers enjoyable), for basically nothing.

So overall, a bad time, don't like it, won't recommend it.

my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding the level of customer service, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to bring it to everyone's attention.

I encountered incredibly rude, disrespectful and racist behavior from the staff members. Their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful, leaving me feeling completely disregarded, undervalued and discriminated as a customer.

Such treatment is entirely unacceptable and does not reflect the standards of service that I would expect from any establishment.

As a loyal customer, I have always held the place in high regard and have previously enjoyed positive interactions with the staff. However, this recent encounter has left a lasting impression of discrimination, dissatisfaction and disappointment.

I strongly urge the establishment to address this issue promptly and take appropriate measures to ensure that all customers are treated with the respect and courtesy they deserve. Customer satisfaction should be a top priority for any business, and it is imperative that steps are taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring...

I have been the a couple of weeks ago, wanted to drink a beer and maybe having a nice chat at the bar. Well, when I tried to enter the place I was stopped by the Bouncer who asked me "What I want". So told him that I want to drink a beer at the bar. He then responded that he "first needs to have look if there was space for me inside". I mean, are you kidding me. What is this place? If I bouncer doesn't know how full the place he is supposed to guard. I am German so I don't know if this is normal for a small Gastropub in France. The behaviour of this man was for sure rude and not welcoming. This attitude would fit to security guy who is guarding a dance club with 500 people for teenagers. So I decided to leave. Thanks again!
