Ours stay was for two nights. This hotel interior design in the breakfast and the lobby area are just wonderful. Its so artistic in nature and so nicely organised, that we felt like visiting a museum of contemporary art. The breakfast is also awesome! The french-toast ..is the best we have ever had. The cakes, egg-items..are all very delicious. There are three different types of pillows for every guest in the room and we found them so comfortable! Now comes the critic part: - the room is small. The toilet is designed in an awkard way: the comod is too close to the wall to sit on it properly. No shades/cover/glass-wall around the bath-tub... water spills out always. Handsoaps should be liquid. The staffs are OK, but there are some "but"s! We were given a drink-gutschein for "one" person, although we should get for two persons. From Saturday evening till end of Sunday only a security staff was present at the reception-who is not that much well-trained to handle guests. The first day at around 10:30 AM we hanged the "Do not disturb (was also in french) sign on the door." But still the room-cleaning service entered the room. When we showed them the sign, they shouted at us in french (which we do not understand) and showing us their handwatch. Next day morning we hanged the "do not disturb sign" and also put all our luggages infront of the door to block it so that the room service can not suddenly open the door. Its horrific. the reception also dont care it at all. The most negative warning about the city Strasbourg is: this city has no money exchange. So tourists from non-"Euro" countries should buy Euros before stepping inside this city. Otherwise they have to beg around the city streets like...
Read moreThe hotel is ideally situated close to the train station and between it and the Petite France area. It is just a short walk to the tram stop from which you can travel to most areas of the city. We bought three day passes for less than the price of a one day pass in Paris, and were able to hop on and off trams all day, even fitting in a trip to Germany (Kehl, just across the Rhine) by tram.
We had a Privilege room on the third floor looking out on to the pedestrianised Rue du Maire Kuss, and were not bothered by noise day or night. The room was large and modern, with two soft chairs (often there is only one with a hard chair). There was a coffee machine and the pods were replenished daily, as well as a fridge with complimentary water and soft drinks. These weren't always replenished during our six night stay but there is a machine dispensing water on the ground floor so we were never without water at least.
The bathroom had a shower over the bath, which might have been awkward if we had been a few years older; presumably there were other rooms with no bath but we hadn't specifically requested one. Everything worked, though the soap dispenser at the sink ran out and the maid failed to react to my putting a bar of soap on top of it! Again, we didn't ask for it to be refilled.
A good feature was that our room was refreshed before lunch time every day so we were able to return in the afternoon between excursions if we wanted to. There is no restaurant but the continental breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice including fresh orange juice an a limited selection of fresh fruit.
The staff members were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience...

The rooms are very well designed, modern with plenty of USB outlets, etc, and fun decor. And, truly, they are meticulously clean and wonderfully quiet despite being on a main street.
Breakfast was a highlight of our stay, with a vast array of food that will please every palate and service that is personable, caring, and always smiling.
The hotel was happy to check luggage for us at both our early arrival and afternoon departure in a secure area.
Pro tip: If you can get room 214, please do! It's a corner room with a balcony and a cool design that will wow even the most well...
