The lone star is for the lady's effort, décor and the chicken curry which my kids shared.
Had ordered Palak Paneer for my younger daughter. You should have seen her face when the dish arrived - aghast like nobody's business. And so was I!
First of all, Paneer is Indian cheese, easy to make in 5 minutes by simply curdling milk and waiting for it to separate. Here they used Vache Kiri which completely destroys the texture of the dish. Secondly, the spinach is supposed to be cooked, puréed with bay leaves and other spices.
Here, they simply added the chicken curry gravy to the Palak(spinach) Paneer (Indian cheese) and served it up.
The cheese nan felt as if it was an Arab/Afghani bread. Definitely not Nan. It was way too bready and the cheese was not spread evenly.
The starters. Well, the beef samosa was decent. Pakoras were 🥺 Seemed as if they wanted to serve at least 50 people from the same potato, they were that thin :) The alarming thing was the salad base on which the starters were served - seemed to be a few days old.
The mango lassi - not enough mango flavour there and sugar was inadequate.
All in all, a disappointing experience to something that could have been brilliant. Ready to show it to them too (for free), if they wish.
A word of advice for the chef: please watch a few you tube videos for the dishes you serve. I heard another customer complaint but unfortunately the lady's French was woefully inadequate to understand his question.

Read moreMy mother and I are visiting from the states and were thrilled to see an Indian restaurant walking distance from our hotel. This by far has been the best meal I had in Europe because I’m a lover of flavor and spices (& sorry most other food didn’t do it for me). The server was friendly and while the service was a bit slow, we enjoyed the conversation with him and our meal overall. The food wasn’t spicy at all but I expected they catered to local tastes which may be less spicy....
