Wouldn't give even 1 star if possible. Highly rude and disrespectful staff. We 3 adults visited the restaurant and ordered 2 vegetarian dishes with breads, however, the staff told us that they could not take the order as we would occupy the table for another hour and ordering only 2 dishes for 3 people and they could take the order only if we ordered 3 dishes. Such a shameless and disgusting way to squeeze money out of people—completely greedy. This system works in buffet system where we have to pay per person price and can have unlimited food. When we are paying for what we get, what issue does the restaurant have. We are free to order how much we want and we would order as much as we can eat rather than wasting the food at the end. This was despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty and I wish it always remains empty because of such behaviour with customers.

Regarding owner's reply, stay clear of lying blame and be clear that after your waiter first refused to take order for one dish, so we told him that we would order 1 more vegetarian dish and we cannot order more than 2 as we can eat that much only. However, waiter refused to take order for 2 dishes as well. I would like to further point out that child is 10 months old and eats only baby food. I wonder your restaurant serves baby food. Good luck feeding your baby adult food and thar too in a third class...

What a rude rip-off. Please avoid it at all costs. Staff is extremely rude and has random rules like ordering at least 1 main dish for each person (which btw is at least 16-20 euros per person). We were a group of 3 and ordered a mix of different dishes which were 1 main dish, 4 side dishes. They refused to serve and told us that we needed to order AT LEAST 3 main dishes and said that they don't want to serve tables of 6 that order 1 dish (I mean, I am not sure they couldn't calculate how many of us were here and what we ordered). I would not mind if you gave me a minimum table value to order - I would gladly order a few drinks and make the value. But if you come and tell me random rules for ordering a number of dishes, that's unfair and also dumb - we are vegetarian and there were barely 3-4 options. Well, good luck to your restaurant and goodbye....

On 16th ocotober I visited Tamil restaurant with my family, who were visiting from India, hoping to enjoy authentic South Indian Tamil cuisine. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

Despite the name, the menu was entirely focused on North Indian food, with no South Indian options. When we requested tea while deciding on our order, we were told that we couldn’t be served food until we placed an order. The staff were unprofessional and rude, ultimately taking away our menus when we expressed our dissatisfaction.

It was disheartening to experience such behavior, especially with my elderly parents. We left feeling unwelcome and upset, which was not the way we expected to enjoy our time in beautiful Strasbourg. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking genuine Tamil food or a pleasant...

The place seems popular with local tourists who want to try something “Indian”. However, if you want authentic tasting Indian food, this place misses the mark by a lot. I tried chicken tikka masala, veggie samosa and naan. Naan was very basic; was not made in a tandoor. It was similar to naan you can buy in a store. The samosas has minimal flavor, the size of the 2 in one order was small. The chicken tikka masala was nothing like I have ever tasted before (I don’t mean it in a positive way). Looked like a yellow sauce. The chicken pieces were extra large, but were tender. Could not find tomatoes or veggies in it. The food was edible and the quality was decent. Service was good. If you want a tame introduction to Indian food then this place is okay. But if you want good authentic Indian food, you may need to look elsewhere.

Craving Indian food, Google Maps sent us here out of the several Indian restaurants near the old part of Strasbourg. With outdoor seating along cobblestone streets by a historic church, it's an ideal dinner spot. The tables have white tablecloths so it's a little more fancy than a casual restaurant, but don't be intimated. We showed up in our everyday clothes without a reservations and got a table on a Friday evening around 19.00. To eat, we got the chicken tikka masala, naan (comes with four pieces), rice, and the salmon, which was the clear winner with the spicy sauce. It was delicious! The tikka masala was tasty, but the sauce tastes different than what you find in the USA. It is more tomato and maybe even coconut milk heavy. Our tab was 50 Euros, which isn't as bad as other nearby restaurants.

I came here with my wife and two daughters as they are vegetarian and love Indian food. On the plus side, the dishes were tasty and freshly made. However, the portions were quite small, lots of sauce and not much else. I make particular reference to the Aloo Gobi Matar which consists of potatoe and cauliflower florets in a curry sauce. A few pieces of potato playing hide and seek with small cuts of cauliflower. This was brought to the attention of the waiter without result. To conclude, a pleasant unpretentious restaurant but if you are hungry, prepare to order several dishes.
