We booked a table for 9.15pm, as that was all that was available. It wasn’t clear if you needed to book for this restaurant, or if you could just rock up. We went to what we thought was the front entrance, only to be told to go down the side and take a right. We could not for the life of us see where we were meant to go as there were no signs. As you can only book for a time a lot, it was not clear as to what we had actually booked as the sign on the outside said there was a buffet and a bar. However, we were just sent upstairs to the buffet. You have to pay before you’re even seated and you pick your drink there and then, which was very weird. The instructions and guidance was appalling. We had no idea how to order extra drinks and what drinks were included in our meal. There was also no water, probably the first restaurant I’ve been to in a long time that doesn’t give offer tap water, or have it on the side. A member of staff came over and asked us if we wanted more Coke, his English wasn’t very good and our French isn’t great either. We had no idea if these drinks were included with our meal, as he did not give us a bill. I would expect free soft drink refills for a buffet that cost 38 Euros per person! However, he came back and said I needed to follow him to pay for them. They don’t even come to your table with a card machine. The food was nice for a buffet, but it’s not Tex Mex, just a very random selection. I wouldn’t eat here again, I think it’s completely misleading and overpriced. Like the rest of Disney Paris, I expected it to be like America and up to their standards of service, which is...
Read moreWe booked the buffet as part of our Disney all included experience. When arrived, the staff said we couldn't enter with our pass unless we payed. Didn't explain the why (the stakehouse staff kindly explained next morning) and hushed us out of the buffet zone.
I guess the staff was more interested in the France's world cup game against Australia, than serving us, since afterwards it took 10 minutes for the staff to receive our order in the menu zone after being seated (almost no other clients were seated at the same time).
Allergies? Restrictions? Not our problem!
You have either of these menus, if you want to eat here with that card. So, we ate a warm plate (almost cold) of chicken legs with chips (one order was with Doritos and even that the man messed up).
Dessert? Either brownie or brownie. Considering the chicken legs were so bad I couldn't finish them, I decided I wouldn't risk eating the brownie that the waiter tossed to the table (yes, I used the correct word - tossed).
To make the whole situation worse, the waiter didn't even listen when we said in French that there were people at the table from two separate rooms and took only one card from one room. Charged three breakfast to that card (yes, we dined, so I guess his timezone was wrong).
Decided to start speaking English to the staff and make no more efforts, as none were made by them.
Fortunately the staff at the Santa Fe hotel helped with the mess...
Read moreOh how I love French cuisine. Except when Disney has anything to do with it. We'd previously had several bad experiences with massively overpriced slop from the Disney food outlets that make McDonald's look fantastic value and borderline nutritious. My eldest son wanted to eat here and it looked ok from outside. When we got to the door I noticed the waitress was wearing a Disney badge, I almost turned around and still wish I had. By this I mean it was a restaurant ran by Disney and not one of the franchises like Planet Hollywood which are still overpriced but at least the food is edible. The food here was exactly what I feared. Very low quality especially for the price. To be honest I'm surprised the French tolerate Disney serving up such rubbish because they are so proud of their fine food and drink. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being a food snob. I just think If I'm paying around €140 for a family of 5 to eat then the food should be of a decent standard. I like fast food as much as anyone but begrudge paying massively over the odds when the food is poor. At another Disney takeaway in the park we payed over €65 for lunch which included the worst kids chicken burgers ever. My 4 year old was actually crying about it and he is seriously not a fussy eater. Some people had Disney meal plans which will have made eating in these places far more reasonably priced. Unfortunately it won't have made the...
