A small, 15 room boutique hotel in an excellent location on Freedom Square in the heart of the old city with most sights within easy walking distance and a shopping mall a few paces away. Downstairs beyond the entrance is the hotel's attractive restaurant with bottles of Badagoni wine in racks on the walls reminding you of the link with Badagoni winery. Also downstairs is a shop selling the wine. For oenophiles, this is a promising place to stay!||||Our Superior room was of average size, fully equipped and freshly decorated. The bed was on the hard side but comfortable nonetheless. The bathroom was compact with underfloor heating and a large hand/rain shower and excellent water pressure. The room had a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the busy Shota Rusteveli Ave. Overall we got a good night's sleep but traffic noise was an issue at times. Having the aircon on helped block outside noise. WiFi reception is the room was good.||||Breakfast is a small buffet along with a choice of hot or cooked foods from a menu. Most tastes are catered for. We ate dinner there one night and had nothing to complain about.|| ||Badagoni scores highly on its staff. They were all good humoured, attentive and most helpful - excellent ambassadors for Georgian hospitality. We felt well looked after and part of a small family.||||There were a couple of problems with our room but they were sorted out promptly. The hotel's transport service to and from the airport was efficient and arrangements worked well.|| ||Badagoni is a great place to stay if you prefer to avoid the large hotel chains (the Marriott is virtually next door on Freedom Square) and desire personalised service. Yes, we would definitely return when...

It is safe to say that the only good thing about this hotel is its location being on Liberty Square and close to everything, other than that you can find way better options for even less budget than Badagoni. 1-The rooms are extremely small and overpriced at 270 GEL/night (around 97$). 2-The smell in the corridor in the second floor close to our room and on the entrance of the room was disgusting (sewer stink). 3-We stayed at the hotel for 9 nights and our checkout was at 12:00 we asked for only 2 hrs delay, to check out at 14:00 so they wanted to charge us 135 GEL (around 50$). Never seen management this ungenerous before. 4- And the reason that made me hate this hotel the most is that the first night we arrived at 1:00 am we spent 1hr and 15 minutes on the road infront of the hotel because the door had a “closed” sign on it and not a single light was on inside. It was our first time in Tbilisi and didn’t know what to do until we went to another hotel nearby that called them so they opened the doors for us. (The receptionist and the helper were apparently both asleep inside thats why they didn’t see us just standing in-front of hotel for more than and hour. Only after the other hotel called them had...
Read moreThe location: stellar. Can’t get better. On one side is the Galleria Tibilisi shopping center, which has a great food court on the top, and a good supermarket in the basement. On the other side of the hotel is the Courtyard by Marriott. In front of the Courtyard, all the tour operators will pick you up. I highly recommend Budget Friendly Tours.||The service: everyone is going through the motions,||professional but not much warmth, except for||Kristina, in reception, who seemed very kind.||The bathroom is very nice, but several days, I could get no hot water.||The breakfast was a stupendous disappointment.||Talk about zero creativity! I was here 8 days, and||the exact same items were out every day. Not a||wide selection, and what was there was not||impressive. Once again, simply going through the||motions. You may select several items, hot, off the||menu. Twice I ordered omelets.
