If you want ok food with a dose of attitude and hate, it's the right place for you. Food used to be a whole lot better when it was at the old location. Once they moved to the mall the food is not the same, not nearly as good. The place is cold and uninviting. Staff is not as friendly as they used to be at the old place. Today, as we are sitting talking amongst ourselves, the waitress mumbles to herself "english" while she's wiping down the table. And we werent even talking to her. When we strated ordering, she fully understod yet refused to talk to us in russian. While barely stopping by managed to display attitude. Stopped by to take order, bring the drink and that's it. Didn't even bother to look twice at us. We kept pressing the button for a check but no one would come untill we managed to catch her as she was flying buy to another table. Half the country is fluent in multiple languages. Always was a welcoming place for everyone no matter where you're from, yet while at work they choose to display their hate and political opinions. We speak Russian, we are not Russian and it shouldn't matter. Yet this staff automatically assumes and...
Read moreWe are tourists be here several times during our visit to Tbilisi, often take tea or lunch before go to the cinema upstairs. The food and service are quite fine in general. The highlight is the terrace where you can have the view directly to the Freedom square.
Be sure you check the bill and the amount they added to the card reader if you pay by credit card, not because they purposely to do wrong but the young staffs not focus to what they’re doing sometimes. It’s happened to us once in this restaurant, the waitress put 53Gel instead of 15,3Gel for the bill then they did the cancellation payment by the machine instead gave the change in cash back to us even we explained our credit card is abroad not the bank in Georgia but they convinced our money will be refunded in 5 minutes then we had to pay again but our bank application only recorded the charge not the cancellation. So their manager said “be sure your money will come back tomorrow”…. Then of course nothing backed. Anyway it was not big amount but they need be careful to give the nice experience to...
Read moreKnown for their famous Khachapuri, I decided to visit this place and try out their Adjarian Khachapuri with smoked cheese.
I wasn’t too stoked to find out it was in a shopping mall surrounded by KFC and a Wendy’s. It does have a good view however. I had to wait the lesser part of half an hour for my food. Service was quite slow, tables and chairs felt very clunky too. Overall not the greatest atmosphere.
But alas, we’re here for the food. Prices seemed decent to me. I paid about 24 for a Khachapuri and a drink. The average salary here is 10 gel per hour. Working 2.4 hours for this meal seemed absurd however.
The food was toothsome and really satisfying. My expectations had been lowered ever since I’d come here. But I have to do the food justice. The outer crust was crunchy and had a thin layer of flour. The cheese was smokey and oozing on the Khachapuri. Even the butter with its strong creamy tones was easily distinguishable among the mush of the cheese,...
