While the view is without doubt good and the service was friendly, the cocktails and dessert we had were a little bit more average. But then the most absurd thing ever (in a bar) happened to me: when we asked for the "Tsunami" Cocktail they have on their menu (in the evening, 11 p.m.) they first told us we need to leave our table and drink it at the bar (because "it is a strong cocktail and very nice to see it made" - a little strange, but we agreed), and then at the bar they said that "it's really too strong for the evening and we should not drink it". Besides that I am a (very) full sized man and had only one drink before, I really didn't get "too strong for the evening" part. When do you drink a strong cocktail in this bar? In the morning?!? If you have a cocktail you apperently don't want to serve, just remove it from the menu. And besides: it would be good not to have just a flat list of names in a cocktail menu, but to include the incredients (or at least the style/type). Not all cocktails are following or even have standard recipes, especially not in Georgia. And to finish up the review: it's ok not to have a dessert that is on the menu, but to realize/communicate it more than 10 minutes after the order is too later. And to serve the other one 30 minutes later is too late too. Overall this is not how a bar with this price tag...
Read moreI visited Tiflis Veranda after seeing their stunning Instagram posts and was lured in by the promise of great views and ambiance. Unfortunately, it turned out to be nothing but a trap for unsuspecting tourists.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was a disaster. There was only one person attending to our table, and the service was painfully slow — it took 15 minutes just to serve two glasses of wine. The food was bland and forgettable. The host was rude and visibly disinterested, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests.
Things got even more bizarre when they refused to turn on the air conditioning, claiming it might rain soon. Honestly, one of the weirdest excuses I’ve ever heard. And to top it off, they wouldn’t serve tap water — we were forced to buy bottled water because “management” apparently doesn’t allow it. Never heard something so ridiculous from a place that claims to be upscale.
This place is all about creating an illusion on social media. It looks beautiful on Instagram but is hollow and disappointing in real life. My advice? Just go up, take your pictures of the view, and leave. Don’t waste your money on the food, drinks, or the absolutely...
Read moreThe view is amazing from this restaurant. You can see most of the city landmarks from here. The food was very good also. We had a lot of things: the Georgian salad with walnut dressing, the green salad, hot mexican potatoes, and bruschettas for starters. Then we had the Pork Tenderloin, Tenderloin with Pineapples, Tenderloin with Cherry sauce, Chicken schnitzel, Pork with potatoes, and the Pasta with creamy mushroom sauce. We liked all the food and the presentation of the dishes was good too. We also had the Apple Strudel, Brownie, and Ice Cream mix for dessert along with Americano coffee, fresh orange juice, and some local red semi sweet wine with the food. The desserts were also tasty. The waiter (Mariami) was very attentive and got our child some coloring pencils and papers when she noticed that our child was a bit bored. The only thing that we didn't like was the time it took them to prepare the food, almost a whole hour and the place was rather empty... so no excuses really for that. The price was also on the expensive end but acceptable overall. I do...
