I have quite mixed feelings about this place. About a year ago it used to be really good — delicious dishes and great service. But during my last visit, we were treated in a completely disrespectful manner. The server kept ignoring us; it took around 20 minutes just to place an order, even though there were only 4–5 tables, and only few of them occupied. She was taking orders from people who arrived after us, and for some reason, she also asked us to change our table — even though it wasn’t reserved. As for the food, the salad was good, but the apokhti khinkali were mediocre — some of them didn’t even contain any meat inside, just a dough. Prices got higher but quality much lower. Before leaving and paying for the visit, I asked to pay by card (which is normally allowed — I’ve always paid that way, and I even saw other guests asking and being told it was fine). However, the server responded in a rather challenging manner, saying, “It’s better for you to pay in cash.” I repeated that I wanted to pay by card, and her response was even more dismissive — insisting again that I should pay in cash. Only after the third time did she reluctantly bring the terminal. As I mentioned, a year ago it was much, much better, and the prices were noticeably lower. Maybe they changed the chef or management, but after this experience, I can confidently say it’s not worth visiting again — at least until things improve The worst part is that I used to come here often, and being treated like this as a regular customer is just a joke.

Chef Saradjeff in Tbilisi is a restaurant that truly stands out—not just for its food but for the entire experience it offers. From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the ambiance. The setting is elegant yet inviting, with a design that perfectly balances sophistication and warmth. We were seated by the window, overlooking the river, and for a moment, it felt as if we were dining in a charming Parisian bistro. The menu is a breath of fresh air—beautifully curated, simple, and focused, without the overwhelming excess of choices that some restaurants tend to have. Each dish is thoughtfully presented, and what truly elevated our experience was the head waitress. She was not only incredibly polite and accommodating but also spoke about the menu with such passion and knowledge that it made our selections even more exciting. Her attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm added a personal touch that is rare to find. Overall, Chef Saradjeff is a place that combines excellent food, a refined yet cozy atmosphere, and outstanding service.

would recommend to go, interesting ideas but can be improved. 4.4 stars size of portions were good, had opportunity to try different things without getting exploded. wine made in house was lovely. roasted khinkali (dumplings) with spinach-mint-yogurt sauce was excellent. khinkali apokhti - made with ham (not easy to chew) laid out on a big layer of thick Greek yogurt - would prefer different sauce with it. boat khachapuri (cheese bread) with smoked salmon, simply does not work. smoked salmon is not really versatile. desert (qada made of corn pancake filled with ground nuts, whole walnut jam and ice cream) was tasty but a bit messy, tricky to eat. was impossible to cut/eat the corn pancake and keep the ground nuts inside.

I’ve been told about this restaurant by some friends that enjoy a lot the experience, so I was exited about the idea. We call to the place at 20:00 to make reservation for 20:30 but we ve been told that the place does not accept reservations.... I decided to go anyway. Its a small and cosy place, in Old Tbilisi and a very beautiful room. There are 9 tables in the place there were only 3 taken when we arrived, so we could choose place to sit, near the window with Mtkvari river as view. Very nice. Food was good... Tried first time khinkhali but deep-frying method, will repeat for sure. At middle of service restaurant offer some complimentary small sweet dish. The mini cheese khinkali also good with some spinach sauce and matsoni I belive. The price its also ok to the location / food quality. 2 px = 158 gel. This was the good part of the experience. The service is standard and in a place like this I expect a little bit more. We drink a 95 lari wine bottle of saperavi and the waiter just drop the bottle in the table, was a young wine (2018) but for me it’s important to, if not giving the wine to taste to leave the cork, so we could do a correct tasting experience. The lady waiter in the place was very nice and big smile. The chef was most of the time in the room but occupied on the phone, I got a little disappointed must confess. Did not address to our table also. It’s what you kind of expect in such close warm environment. When we ask for the dessert the waiter look at the clock.... so we just leave without dessert. So if better service would be an exceptional and...
