Gate Kebap — Restaurant in Berlin

Terrible service.

Edit: Awful hygienic conditions, the food preparer touched money, his face und the ac switch before touching the bread without washing hands;

I ordered without sauce because I can't eat lactose, the food preparer threw it on my Döner anyways and then removed it cheaply with a spoon with may sauce rest still on it, I had to repeatedly ask him to remove it properly and there were still sauce rests on it;

Long wait time of approx. 40 min., I couldn't leave because I paid upfront (8€ for a mediocre Döner);

No plate was given to me even though I ordered to eat on property, it was a huge mess, I basically had to lay my Döner on a dirty table, that on top of the other miserable hygienic conditions;

Toilets were not clean, paper all over the floor;

The worst part is that the restaurant is trying to remove my initial und justified bad review because of "defamation". It is a mystery to me how this terrible restraunt has 4.7 Stars. Because of the fact they are trying to remove my review, I have to assume (although I can't prove it) that they are removing every bad but...

Walked past that Kebab Shop a couple times and a delicious smell came out. But don‘t be fooled bc their food doesn‘t taste good at all. The menu is not as shown on the picture.(basically false advertising)The fries are dry and not enjoyable at all. The kebab itself tasted weird and some meat parts weren‘t properly cooked at all? Overall the service was fine but it could be way better. I wouldn‘t recommend this place at all. If you want good kebap, go to a authentic...

This was our second visit to Gate Kebab and both times were fantastic. The folks behind the counter were friendly, kind and spoke English. The kebabs were juicy, well seasoned and fantastic, the bread is hot, crusty, and subtly spiced and the fries are terrific. We leave tomorrow and are planning to get a few kebabs for the flight home .

We are only sorry we found this place so late into our 5 day stay in Berlin.
