Muret La Barba — Restaurant in Berlin

Went here for a casual mid week date night and have to say, it did not disappoint. We booked ahead of time, were welcomed warmly with smiles and to a buzzing, casual environment.

Our waitress was helpful in guiding us through the tough decision of what to eat and drink as we wanted to eat all the things.

After great deliberation and discussion, we landed on a selection of cold starters vitello tonnato, artichoke salad and salmon crudo followed by pasta with ragu and sautéed squid with salad.

Everything that came out felt fresh, made with good ingredients and with care. Also, portion sizes were big (which we appreciated). Perhaps we could have just had one of two starters and tried more of the other things.

Go here by yourself, with a date, a parent or with a group of friends so you can order all the things, I’ll be coming back soon for sure…..actually maybe I go back today, I’m really hungry now 🤔. Yes, I will...

Rip off attempt ! The waiter wanted us to pay (15 €) for 3 glasses of wine while we had only 2.

Actually I disliked a lot the whole way it works. If you sit outside the waiter gives you a menu on which wines and prices are not written on. So he comes and asks you what kind of wine you want (which is so far ok) and comes back with 2 bottles he opens and lets you one of them ...even if you only want to drink one single glass. If you don't ask you have no idea what costs the glass/bottle. I don't think I have to ask to know the price of what is on my table. Especially of it's wine where prices vary a lot. I don't like their whole way of treating clients. I don't like they ask me to pay for more than what I actually had. It was not my first time in this restaurant, because of atmosphere, delicious food and wine, perfect service. This time it was some mess with reservation (I did booking online from the website, I didn’t receive approval on my email, so I called guys, made reservation through the call, but when I came there was no reservation again, but guys found table for us).
