Summary: disappointing bland taste and nearly overcooked ramen noodles for tantanmen 3 stars; i don’t know why but I decided to give it second shot and had the delicious signature tonkotsu ramen and it gets 5 stars; this made Me edit the review and upgrade from 3 to 4 stars a mix of the two ratings; only 4 because I think the 2 key dishes both need to be great for a 5 star total rating

Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): Tantanmen: recommended by waiter, but disappointing bland taste, nearly overcooked ramen noodles; few toppings tonkotsu: the signature dish and its the best dish; well-balanced broth absolutely tasty; the pork is slightly crispy and not only fat as at some other places; the noodles at the second visit had a nice bite — 5 stars!!

Service: quick and easy friendly service 2nd visit employees are smoking across the street while you are eating outside, not a pleasant view; no more smoking at the second visit

Price: fair price for value; €11 for lunch menu

The location itself is conveniently situated, making it easily accessible, which is a definite plus. But what truly stood out was the remarkable quality of the food. First the good: the place is small, beautiful, very well designed with simplicity. You can just sit there all day and will be a perfect day! The staff was nice, easy and friendly. But we're for the food, right?. I was looking for best ramen in Berlin, and found this one online. Definitely worst tantanmen I've ever had, completely bland in taste, not a hint of spiceness (even a bit!) and its advertised on menu with two symbols of the chili... At first sight I thoguht they prepared me some other ramen, not tantanmen! almost All others tantanmens I've tried were kind of full in taste, meat was so well cooked (here was whit-ish, not so cooked!), but not here. So even the hot sauce that I put a lot after first sip, was not enough to find a "taste". No taste at all... bland! Maybe other ramens they make are better, who knows!
