The atmosphere was fun, love the napkins (toilet paper) on the table; very authentic. All of our (multiple, disorganized) servers were really nice, spoke German and English. The food arrived promptly. Only two stars because - Strange moment with a man (maybe the manager?) who started grabbing away our menus before we had a chance to order our mains because the starters had already arrived and "no menus when food is on the table...." "But no one has come to take our orders for mains." "Fine, you order NOW or later." "Okay, we'll order now." He grabs another menu out of our hands, and storms away. Hmmm.... I had salad rolls, the rice paper on the ends was all hard and old. Obviously, not prepared freshly. Hated my main... Pork belly and tofu "bûn"... Maybe I'm just not artistic enough. The sauce was awful, the noodle were pretty to look at, but they were in long hard strips, awful texture. Seemed like yesterday's noodles "artfully" reused. (Everyone else liked their food, though. And it was very pretty! So maybe I just picked the wrong thing.) Had to wait well over an hour for the bill. Asked for it three times. Finally got them to bring it by standing up and making motions to just walk out. Ordered two beers on tap... Beers never arrived. Reordered. Beers still never arrived. 45min later, two bottles appeared. "This isn't what we ordered." "What did you order?" "Tap." "We're all out!" Leaves the beers, without asking if we want them instead, before we have a chance to say, "we don't want these!!!"
Fazit - Fun, great ambience, friendly but very disorganized, bad service - average...

Read moreI don't write reviews often but when I do, it was either super good or super bad. In this case, it was almost perfect at district mot. Workers there seem to have a lot of fun at work what makes it even more comfortable to sit there. They make their pho noodley-doodles by themselves and you can really taste it. - Delicious! I had a Pho with chicken and a self-made lemonade with lychee. It's a traditional Vietnamese drink and I could have drank 3 of them if my stomach wouldn't be that smol. The Phō: Oh, the best I tried so far. And I tried a lot. Soup was intense, delicious and a lil bit hot, but the exact right amount of hot for a tiny woman like me. They put dried cutted chili on your table so you can make it even hotter. The chicken was soft, cutted in thin slices. Also supergood. The herbs in combination with the selfmade noodles is like a perfect bite. If you like to eat a Phō, you HAVE TO visit this place. It's just amazing.
And a small addition in the end: when I sat inside I just felt like I'm in a tiny Vietnamese street. Sitting and eating my phō. The environment gives pretty cozy and comfortable vibes. Oh and you get two bowls on your table one with sunflower seeds to eat and the other one for leftovers of sunflower seeds. I highly recommend...
