Ristorante Nuova Italia - Berlin Gendarmenmarkt — Restaurant in Berlin

Looking for a decent Italian restaurant whilst staying at the Hilton Mitte Berlin, found this very beautiful restaurant so very close by, only a 2 minute walk! Well where to begin…..firstly the front of house staff were exceptionally friendly and very welcoming, we dined early at 6pm and the restaurant was still quite empty so had the choice of tables, the menu arrived and was full of wonderful Italian dishes all cooked freshly in-house by the Italian chef, we chose Bruschetta to share as a starter, it was very very fresh and flavoursome, we could have carried on eating it throughout the evening! my wife of 35 years rarely has bolognaise but on this occasion did so, she proclaimed it was the VERY BEST she had ever tasted and struggled to finish what can only be described as a “Mountain” of Bolognaise, I had the Argentinian steak with Vegetables of the day accompanied by a Barolo red wine sauce, the meat must of been around 13/14 ounces as I struggled to finish the meal, all in all this very new restaurant(only its second week of opening) is excellent in both quality and taste of authentic Italian food, with exceptional customer service by the front of house staff, well done and we wish you every success in the future, having dined there this evening we are going back tomorrow to try...

Das Nuova italia ist schön gelegen direkt am Gendarmenmarkt. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und man kann nur sagen, dass der Service durchweg hervorragend war. Das Ambiente war edel und schön und mir haben die Gläser gut gefallen. Zu Beginn gab es einen Teller mit Balsamico und Olivenöl als Smiley serviert. Ich war leicht enttäuscht, denn bei Instagram hab ich das immer als Herz gesehen. Dann haben wir direkt auch ein Herz bekommen, das fand ich wirklich niedlich. Die Sprite kam in einer Flasche, was ich sehr gut fand, da man so immer sieht, was man tatsächlich bekommt. Die Pizza war wirklich groß und soll bis auf die Schärfe auch sehr lecker gewesen sein. Unsere Nudeln wurden serviert und dann wurden wir gefragt, ob wir noch frischen Trüffel und Parmesan haben wollen. Diese wurden dann direkt am Tisch über die Nudeln gestreut und gehobelt. Wir haben alle 3 gesagt, dass uns hier eindeutig Trüffel gefehlt hat. Vom Geschmack waren die Nudeln eher nüchtern, buttrig und zu wenig Trüffelgeschmack. Vielleicht wäre auch etwas mehr Parmesan für den Geschmack sehr gut gewesen. Am Ende gab es noch einen Schnaps, den wir Frauen dankend abgelehnt haben und damit der Herr in der Runde nicht alleine trinken muss, haben wir einen Saft Shot bekommen, sehr sehr aufmerksam. Die Toiletten waren einfach, aber sehr sauber. Preislich muss man schon etwas tiefer in die...

We happened upon Nuova Italia on a visit to Berlin. It had only been opened for three months. We feel SO lucky to have found it. Food and service was absolutely wonderful. The owner was delightful and steered us perfectly to our food and wine choices. Cannot wait to visit again. 5 + stars for sure. You have to visit. You will not be disappointed. Nice atmosphere. Very relaxed and joyful....
