Casino-Eck — Restaurant in Cologne

A great friendly bar mainly used by local people, however, the locals were very welcoming to tourists like we were. The bar is on the small side but it is very rustic and cosy. There is a mixed crowd, young, middle aged, elderly, and although they display a rainbow flag outside (and sometimes have drag acts) everybody gets along fine, gay, bi, straight, locals, tourists, black, white, asian, the atmosphere...

This is a nice friendly neighbourhood bar where you are welcomed by Josef and Wolfgang. A lively atmosphere of mainly locals drinking their Gaffel Kölsch.

As it is on the on way to and from the Volcano, expect some 50+'s. I was even recognised from GR by one of the customers 😀....

Eine kölsche Eckkneipe im klassischen Sinne (mit Sparkästchen) wie es sie kaum noch gibt, zumindest in der Gegend der südlichen römischen Altstadt. Die Inneneinrichtung wurde "us dä jode ahle Zick" herübergerettet und liebevoll bewahrt. Die freundliche Wirtin servierte flöck leckeres Kölsch, das Publikum war von der angenehmen Sorte. Sehr gut. Die Speisekarte ist allerdings genretypisch stark begrenzt. Sanitärbereich geht i O. Die sympathische Kneipe liegt unweit der wunderbaren Kirche "St. Maria im Kapitol". Also zuerst Kirche besichtigen und dann im Kasino-Eck die gewonnenen Eindrücke...
