I dropped in to Copenhagen Coffee Lab near the Köln Dom for a morning coffee and breakfast at around 9am on a weekday. The cafe is a stone’s throw from the Dom. It’s a quiet spot for a very good cup of coffee (I had a double espresso and an americano). I also had a Kardemummabullar which was OK. The cafe has free wifi and a very clean washroom, and very friendly staff who are quick with service.

Only had a flatwhite. The current bean is Campo Das Vertentes, no other choice, but naja geht schon. Quite rich and has lasting after-taste (in a good way). Not quite the taste profile I prefer, but still delivers a good time. Ambience is nice, perfect for chilling with friends. Limited outdoor seatings. Friendly and helpful employees. Would recommend.

It's clear they take their coffee seriously here. Just a heads-up for anyone tracking caffeine (I use the Mindful Coffee App): you'll want to log this as a double shot. It's got a proper kick.

Really nice vibes & atmosphere, it was quiet when we went into the cafe itself. I got the cinnamon bun and my partner got the cardamom bun. The pastries were nice but I would’ve loved to have the option to heat it up so they’re warm and fluffy. They were room temp. We also got 2 flat whites. The coffee was not to my taste. Very bitter and acidic at the same time somehow. The best coffees I’ve had have been roasty and smooth with depth of flavour. This felt quite astringent. Total 13 euros for 2 coffees...

This is a great place to chill near the cathedral. The interior is cool and spacious, and the coffee is good value (and very tasty, most importantly). The staff were friendly, one of the highlights of my time in Cologne. There was a vegan peanut butter muffin in the menu which was filling and satisfying, but I would've loved to see more lactose free options (though even one seemed to be more than the average...

I was happy with the prices as well as the quality of the brew. My filter coffee was pretty complex, a bit on the fruity-floral side – I'm not sure why I was expecting a darker roast (probably because at most chains a quick coffee to go = Americano), but I was pleasantly surprised! :) the blueberry bun really is quite sugary, but that's a nice counterbalance to the acidity & bitterness of...
