Place is cozy enough, but the bar staff is slow, distant, and rude. The blonde girl in particular was cold and distant, and seemed to be only interested in the men behind the bar. The guy who I assume to be the manager/owner was friendly, but showed no interest in a friendly chat and just seemed rather busy (even though there weren't that many people).
When ordering it was as if I asked a huge favour and placed a terrible burden on them (which, granted, I kind of did because ordering a beer and a Guinness is a very strange thing to do in a pub, of course).
Pricewise it's okay, but if you go there for a chat or to meet new people you'd have to be extremely outgoing to make...
Read moreWe happened upon this little Irish bar during our first day in Cologne, we ended up back here most days and used it as our starting point for each days activities. The staff "Jerry" particularly were amazing and very accommodating, give us loads of info about Cologne and things we could do, places to go. We had numerous drinks in here over various days, all spot on and nothing was expensive. Of all the places we visited this was by far the most comfortable for us. When in Cologne next we will be heading straight back here for a few beers :) 10/10
