Bad service and very unfriendly staff.

We arrived at around 7:30pm without a reservation. A grumpy waitress took us to a table right at the entrance, a very packed area with lots of people walking in and out. It was -3°C outside, so we were hoping to be seated somewhere else. At the corner there were 2 empty tables (both were tables for 2), the waitress said those were reserved. The table at the entrance was the last available one for tonight, so we took it without complaints.

Five minutes later, there were two other groups of guests, both came in without reservations. (We heard their conversation very clearly since we sat right at the entrance.) The same waitress simply gave them those "reserved tables" that we asked for earlier. Totally unacceptable.

On top of that, we sat down for 15mins, no one gave us any menu, no one talked to us, no one looked at us at all. We had to ask for the menu, even after that we waited for another 5mins, but still no one came to take our orders. We simply stood up and left.

It was very unfortunate. The dishes from the next tables looked really delicious, and I have been looking forward to coming to Casa Luigi. But the service was really bad and the experience was really disappointing. Will...

We were in Dusseldorf for a bachelorette party (Taylor Swift Concert) my daughter attended 4 weeks ago and the bride to be insisted she take us to Luigi’s. She knew I would like the tagliatelle with truffle sauce so we ordered several entrees. The tagliatelle was to die for! It was excellent as was my wife’s gnocchi! I’m a cook and former restaurant owner who probably loves food too much! We’ve travelled around the Italian boot 4 times but never experienced the excellence of this dish! The truffle sauce was beyond amazing! We ended up traveling around a few weeks before the wedding, but upon our return went back to Luigi’s. We tried to get in for lunch but reservations are required, so made them for the next day. The second time around was just as wonderful. This is a professionally run business and the service, ambiance, staff, wine list, etc...

First of all, the food was great and delicious! But the waitress gave us an unwelcoming vibe that night. I asked her politely if I can get some water for my dog. She replied with: you can take the box (old aluminum takeaway box) right there and go to the toilet to get water for your dog. Bad customer service 10/10! I did not expected that answer at all.. she tried to avoid our table the whole night and did not even looked at us. Even when we pay she did not even care to pay attention. No thank you or anything.
