Firat of all, I was visiting this restaurant every week at least once until the pandemic. In 2021, I am appointed to work in another country by my headqurter in Düsseldorf. However, I still visit Düsseldorf time to time and definitely try to go to there at every visit because I loved the schnitzel. I was there today at 18.45 (the kitchen is closed at 18.30 the waitress said) but the closing hour is 20.00 o’clock ( internet says). I really walked all the way to come to this restaurant before I left on this Thursday. I sad that I could quickly order something because I would really like to eat here as I was one of your biggest fan of your schnitzel. There were tables still getting food, drinks and what would change if I was plus one and sitting on the last empty table at 18.45? I told the second waiter that they should then update the opening hour and I really do not get why I am not accepted at 18.45. He was so unfriendly and blamed me “you cannot get any table with this tone and bye”. I was of course dissappointed and wanted to ahow him the closing hour in internet. He did not even listen to me cut me off and left because that is the easiest way. Blame me being unfriendly ( deginitely not me!!!!!) and just leave instead of doing your best as or at least listening me. Why all the drama just because I love your restaurant, I obviously appreacite eating there. What is wrong with you? It is really horrible and you destroy all my evening because you were just so unfriendly towards me who just wants to be there! I am sure you or your owner will justify this and find some excuse to cover it but sorry I can even say that I was having these unfriendly behaviors because obviously I am non - german. He would never ever dare to the same towards any Germans! I was one of the person who always promoted you to my co-workers and I remember your great waitress Yasmin, always had very friendly nice conversations with her. It is not acceptable. I only wish to this waiter to get the same behavior just like he did to me and watch how would you feel. Münstermann Kontor is finished for me today. I hope you train this person that he never ever cuts off any person while she is trying to...
Read moreA very popular place with a very good food.
I came across the restaurant in Michelin guide for DU. Unlike other listed restaurants, it won’t break my bank, and, more importantly, it has opening hours that fit into my schedule.
Came to the place at Friday afternoon (4~5pm), and saw several groups waiting for tables. Joined them, and got my turn half hour later (I came alone and was happy to receive the same treatment as other 2 persons group in the busy hours) .
Wasn’t sure what to order and asked recommendation from the waiter. “Veal schnitzel!” “Many customers come here only for the schnitzel!!!”. It was a great recommendation, and I’m one of these customers now😁.
It’s the best schnitzel I’ve had in Germany. Wouldn’t call it an amazing food (hard to make schnitzel amazing), but definitely very good food. There were 2 sizes for the dish: regular and big. I opted for the big size, and am very happy about the choice; I got TWO pieces of meat, and it was so satisfying to eat😆😆😆.
It was a good experience, and will back again. If you likes Austrian/German food, or have foreign friends visiting, it is definitely a good...
Read moreYou know that a restaurant is good, when the locals come to eat there. Münstermann Kontor is a small, typical German restaurant that is loved by locals. With its long tables shared with other guests and the overall beer-hall vibe, It has a very Southern-German feel to it. This gives it a very cozy atmosphere. We ordered the traditional veal schnitzel and I must say that it was the best schnitzel I have eaten in my entire life. Sitting close to other guests on the longtables, we had a lovely conversation with a couple of locals that told us some other great places to see and visit during our stay in Düsseldorf. It was truly a display of german hospitality and friendliness, and we had a wonderfull evening here. The service was friendly and the food was...
