I went to this restaurant on a holiday. I can understand that on such days it is very busy. But the waiter was so impolite. We had ordered Drinks and Starters only, because we were not that hungry. I wanted my German friend to try samosa and Paneer. The waiter asked us with sarcasm, ”you are ordering only Starters, no main course with that?“ I can see that he was totally pissed off. And he behaved so awkwardly. I dont understand what is the problem in ordering what we like from the menu. Is there a rule that we have to order something from main course also? He asked us again, ”Are u ordering only Starters“, and he showed a face which was so impolite and stupid. And after that we eventually ordered one Main menu dish as we wanted to try something more traditional Indian food with our friend. We are also paying the same money as others. And also it was not a small amount. What kind of an attitude is this? I am so disappointed and angry. Also think what my German friend would have thought about the Indian Hospitality in general. Its a shame. If you cant control so many people then appoint more Waiters and please organise the orders. The food was good I would say. But I dont think I will ever come again to this place if they cant behave properly. I am writing this expecting an answer...
Read moreI am so impressed with this place. I came here a couple of times when it opened a year ago and haven't been back since the start of the pandemic until yesterday. Despite the harsh conditions the pandemic has placed on restaurants, the quality of food here is still excellent. EXCELLENT! There are complaints about the prices here, but you are really getting the best Indian food in Dusseldorf when you order from this place bar none and 14 euros for a killer curry is nothing to complain about in my opinion.
I have never eaten here and been disappointed, everything is so tasty. I ordered lamb madras and it was flavorful, fruity, spicy without being too harsh and with a had rich mouthfeel. perfect with rice. The meat pieces were juicy and tender. Very often in stewed dishes like lamb madras, the meat can turn out dry or stringy but this was a pleasure to chew on. I also got a dal dish, and the lentils had a very deep and smoky flavor (not words you would expect to associate with a vegetable dish like a dal!). I would have been perfectly happy just with the dal, no lamb needed I just like the taste of lamb. For take away, the meal was ready in 5 minutes.
Quick and absolutely delicious, I recommend it a...
Read morePerfect place to enjoy proper India food both in traditional and contemprary form! Whether it is a faily meal with my vegetarian wife and meat loving son or an office get-together with mixedbag of team members who may or may not be accustomed to indian food, this place always manages to impress their guests with quality of food, variety in the menu and above all an able team who extend their warm hospitality and service with passion. I have visited a lot of Indian restaurants in Dusseldorf and this one by far rates the best when it comes to an overall scope of ambiance, taste of food, service and good wine too! Food is not super expensive and free popodums with nice assortment of chutnyes is always a fantastic 'extra'. Happy to recomment this place anytime. Booking in advance recommended! Including pics from one of my recent visits when we took Kadhai Paneer and Chicken gravy, with some red wine and mango lassy to go with it. Their non-veg platter is exceptional, lamb chops and sheek kabab highly recommended too! What can i say, I am a foodie and...
