Fantastic Indian Cuisine and Impeccable Service at Svaad Restaurant!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Svaad restaurant in Düsseldorf for a birthday party, and I must say it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Svaad not only offers delectable and authentic Indian cuisine but also provides top-notch service and a warm, inviting ambiance.
The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with a friendly smile and welcomed into a beautifully decorated hall. The place was divided into two sections due to the birthday party, with half of the space dedicated to the party and the other half available for regular dining. This arrangement allowed for a lively and vibrant atmosphere without disturbing the diners in the other section.
Now, let's talk about the food! Svaad truly excels in delivering a memorable culinary journey. I had the pleasure of tasting some of their signature dishes, and each one was a delightful treat for my taste buds.
The Paneer Butter Masala was a rich and creamy delight, and the Gobi Manchuria was hands down the best I've ever had. The naan and jeera rice perfectly complemented the main dishes, and the Carrot Halwa provided a sweet ending to the meal.
For non-vegetarian options, the Butter Chicken, Chilli Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and the Chicken Soup were outstanding choices.
The attention to detail displayed by the staff was commendable. They took great care in ensuring that each guest's plate was filled with delicious food, and they were always prompt in offering refills, water, and desserts.
The level of hospitality and coordination was truly impressive, creating a seamless dining experience for everyone.
One thing that stood out to me was the owner's and employees' friendly and helpful nature. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure that all guests were satisfied. Their warm demeanor added a personal touch to the dining experience, making me feel welcomed and valued.
Svaad is not only an excellent choice for a birthday party but also for any kind of gathering or simply a delightful dine-in experience. If you're in the mood for authentic Indian cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant. Their dedication to providing exceptional food and service is truly commendable.
In conclusion, Svaad restaurant in Düsseldorf exceeded all my expectations. With its fantastic Indian food, warm ambiance, and impeccable service, it deserves the highest praise. Whether you're planning a celebration, a casual dinner, or looking for takeout, Svaad should be at the top of your list. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Read moreBeen coming here for 3 years. Food is delicious.
Wonderful experience until it isn't.
Chicken Tikka Masala with no Tikka pieces and also creamy cashew base like butter chicken was very yummy. Also Butter chicken is exactly the same. Same flavor same thickness of the creamy cashew Tomato base. Very yummy. My 2 year old son loves this but I guess now he can also eat Chicken Tikka masala. It was nice and a sweetish feeling adjacent and uncanny of Butter chicken which I always order for my 2 year old Everytime we visit...but no it was Tikka masala..let's get that right. Sadly when asked they said "then don't order it, that's the only solution". Unfortunately not people focused although food is yummy when it is delivered and done right. "The Customer is always right" is thrown right out the window, leading to an argument for our (customer) concerns. A good restaurant should be able to take criticism and improve upon it and address these concerns and not respond so aggressively. They had to bring their chef out who also convinced me it was Tikka Masala which then I found to be absolute regret trying to talk sensible to people who just want to argue.
The table next to us ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and the base was not this Butter Chicken Base. It was how it was supposed to be. Dint want my money back, especially not an argument, but acknowledgement and accepting what was done poorly.
Customer service will be the downfall not the food.
They also then charged us for that dish whatever you want to call it. Overall Great food, poor people skills and 0% capable of accepting criticism.
Edit: see also a photo of Butter chicken from a review of the Essen Branch as well as a Snippet of a Review from the Dusseldorf Branch which basically was our criticism. Same look, feel, taste and not...
Read moreI ordered there 3 times through Uber Eats. The first time, everything was fine: the food was good although the quantity of rice was a little bit low in my taste, but all in all a quite good experience. The second time, I ordered again 2 rices dishes + 1 entry (chili paneer), and the quantity of rice was exactly the same as when I didn't order the entry, which I honestly find disappointing. But since the food was good, I didn't mind so much.
However, yesterday evening I had the worst experience. I ordered at around 8pm for an estimated arrival at 9pm. I ordered 2 rice dishes and I asked specifically if they could split the rice in 2 containers.
The food arrived at 10:30, 1 hour and a half later than estimated which is frustrating but I understand this can happen when the activity of the restaurant is high. However, my request to have the rice separated in 2 containers was not fulfilled, and again it arrived in one shared container, which is honestly not practical. Again, with the high activity of the restaurant, I can understand that such requests cannot always be fulfilled. What I find unacceptable is the following: First, I had a piece of plastic in the food I received, which never feels good. Second, and this is why I'm posting this review, my partner and I had very bad belly aches all the night that followed and I am still feeling sick right now (it is 3:30pm the day after I ate the dish). Something obviously went wrong with that place, specifically yesterday, as I had no problems with the food itself the 2 previous times I ordered there (and I took the exact same dish yesterday as the 2 other times)
Unfortunately, given these elements, I cannot recommend this restaurant, at least...
