Hotel KO — Hotel in Dusseldorf

I was a bit worried as this was my first time traveling alone abroad but this was an excellent choice and I was very happy. The staff are really friendly and helpful- I was shown to my room, and I was allowed to use the reception printer to print off a ticket for the Aquazoo, and the man at the reception desk was very patient with my non-fluent German. You get a radar key for the main door so it is ok to come back late at night. The room was great- clean and spacious with a fridge and TV. As other reviews mention there are no windows in the wall but there are skylights which can be opened with a switch, and if you are just needing a room to keep your stuff in and sleep it really isn't an issue. I got a free bottle of water when I checked in and a cereal bar when I checked out which was novel but very welcome. We loved our stay here, we felt welcome. The next time we visit Düsseldorf, we're staying here or delaying our trip if they don't have room.

Pros The obvious pride the owners took in their offered experience and how helpful they were when you came to them with questions. The quality of the food, both the "standard" buffet - which hands down beat any hotel buffet I've had before, but especially their Korean breakfast which was available on request. -A surprise to me was how much liked that our room didn't have a normal window, but a skylight instead. To have fresh air without city noise or a real draft was a pleasure, and I didn't miss the normal window like I thought I might.

The staff are nice and friendly. They are asian but able to speak very good english. A home feeling small budget hotel.

According to google map, it takes around 7 mins to the hotel. However, if you are coming with luggage case, it will take u more than 10 mins as the road is not luggage case friendly.

Comfy hotel with spacious and clean room. Showering system a bit poor. No air conditioning (very common in budget hotel in Europe).

I wonder if there is a musician/student living nearby as the practising sound of instrument occurred at late evening for hours and the next day morning.

Reasonable price.

The hotel will close after 1 pm on Sunday so you cant keep the luggage there after check out.
