Starting with 5 stars, -1 or +1 depending on experience.

-1 : Too much avocado on the menu. Menu is very American (the excessive avocado inclusion, Cali rolls, Philly rolls, Alaska rolls, to name a few).

0 : Service was neutral, borderline IDGAF, which is a bit of a shock when you're expecting お・も・て・な・し, but wouldn't say it's necessarily a bad thing. We had pretty good rapport in Japanese, but I only wonder how it would be if it were in German / English. Could be better or worse.

-1 : Food took a while to arrive.

+1 : Sashimi was nice and buttery, just a touch above what you'd get from prepacked sushi boxes in the Asian grocery store.

0: Chef forgot that we asked to remove avocado, but was quickly sent back when we notified the server. So, -1 then +1.

+1: I would say the sushi is worth the price. But do not get the individual sushi that cost 3 euros per piece. I recommend getting the combis, like Alaskan kombi. That was enough for 2 people (if you're not a food gobbler).

-1: The aburi sushi was sacrilege. Normally, one would make the sushi, add the sauces and mayo on top, the lightly sear the top with a blow torch. In this restaurant, they fully cooked the sashimi. It was awful.

-1 : Sushi tidyness could use with some work. See photo.

0 : Music was ukulele music of famous cinematic songs, which was a bit odd. Decor was not very cohesive. The only truly Japanese item that I enjoyed was the vertical menu board. I decided not to revoke/award points because this didn't affect my experience very much. I nonetheless write it here because I did notice...

The food at the restaurant was really delicious — it’s clear that the sushi was made by a skilled chef, and I definitely recommend it. However, the treatment we received from one of the female staff members was absolutely unacceptable.

We patiently waited 25 minutes for our food after ordering, but when my girlfriend took a small sip of water from her own bottle, the woman suddenly started yelling at us in German. Even though she knew we didn’t speak German, she mumbled something like “this is a restaurant, you can't drink water here.”

How did she know whether my girlfriend was sick or not? Maybe she needed to drink water for health reasons. I understand we could’ve politely asked first, but her reaction — scolding us in front of everyone — was completely out of line.

Good food isn’t everything; the experience matters just as much, if not more. And for that reason, I strongly disapprove of how we...

I couldn't recommend this place enough. I was here 4 months ago, yet I still remember it very vividly. The people working there were very nice. Best regards to them! The food was amongst the best food I've ever had. This sushi tops easily all the others I've ever tried. The taste, the feeling after the food... Everything was so good. The atmosphere as well, the decorations inside... As you walk in, you feel that you are in good hands. The menu is clear, filled with images that stay true to the food you get. The food is delivered to the table by the cutest robot, that also sings happily as it does so. If I ever come back to Dusseldorf, I am eating here again, no doubt! If you love sushi, you...

The food was fresh and just delicious, probably the best sushi I've ever eaten. The menu is very rich and includes sushis, makis and menus at affordable price with excellent quality. I really liked the huge choice of entrées, different types of fish, ad even sushis with grilled fish for those who don't like it raw. The miso soup was delicious, and the eel sushi rolls is a thing that'll surely make me come back here. The waitress could be a bit nicer and smile some more, we felt as if we were not welcome at some point, but in the end everything went pretty well. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try real Japanese sushi!

It deserves 10 stars🤩 The sushi are incredibly delicious, wonderful taste for reasonable price. Fresh, full of taste, perfect size. The chef is really professional and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxing background music and thematic decoration makes this place so nice. We also liked the digital waiter😀 The playing sound from the robot is hilarious, it sounds like a celebration! We were surprised once more, when got a complementary sashimi at the end of our meal. Our staying for lunch was perfect here! We left absolutelly full and happy! We will definitely come to this place again if we visit Düsseldorf.
