I really don't understand the hype behind this place. We got back from Thailand a couple of weeks ago and can't confirm that this place wither provides neither some culinary nor atmospheric experience. The tables are placed really close to each other, so you hardly get any privacy. The selection of dishes and drink is mind-blowing, through the quality is extremely disappointing. Starting with the drinks. They list lemongrass tea on the menu. The presentation in the elephant-shaped teapots is very nice, whereas you can barely taste any lemongrass there. Tom Kha barely has any taste, you can't feel any herbs, galangal. The Sathai we got was tasteless either. The mains were even more disappointing with Panang Curry having almost no body to its taste and the classic Pad Thai being almost tasteless too. It seems that the chef decided to totally compromise on the taste and fully adapted the dishes to the wide German audience. So if you like some authentic Thai food, this is definitely not the a place to visit. This is particularly disappointing, provided that the possibility to buy all of the necessary ingredients is there in the town. We can confirm that the service is nice and the atmosphere is somewhat "Thai meets German ideas...

I recently dined at Sila Thai and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The cuisine was absolutely fantastic, offering an authentic taste of Thailand with dishes that were bursting with flavor. Every meal was carefully prepared and beautifully presented, making it a true feast for the senses. The restaurant itself is impeccably clean and well-maintained, which immediately adds to the comfort and enjoyment of the meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our visit. It's clear they take great pride in providing top-notch service. While the prices are on the higher side, this is to be expected for a thai restaurant. The quality of the food and service certainly justifies the cost, so I felt it was worth every penny. One of the highlights is their outdoor terrace. Situated on a street that isn’t too busy, it offers a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere for dining al fresco. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal on a nice day. Overall, Sila Thai is a wonderful choice for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Thai cuisine in a welcoming and well-kept environment. I will definitely...
Read moreWe went there for a Birthday Party booked over week I advance. Got there and the restaurant was all ready crowded and it was clear that the owners have done alle they can to optimize how many people the room can host. This did unfortunately ruin a significant part of the experience - the very close proximity to other guests and very little space for staff to use resulted in an experience where it was more like eating diner at A crowded noice train Station that a mid to high prize restaurant. The food was good and plenty but nothing extraordinary but quality ok for the price. We checked out the reviews and pictures before visiting and the Shared mixed satai was significantly less in equantity thank pictures suggested and it’s was not possible for all to taste the different satai. Overall for the prize a disappointing experience mostly because the Train station experience. If you go there for the food be sure to order specific a both and not just a place for 4. We liked the food but dropped the deserts as we after 2 hours in the overcrowded place just wanted to get out of there. A shame - this restaurant could easy get 5 stars if the worked on the overall...
