LA BORSA Cucina Italiana — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Always went to this place when I was in Düsseldorf, but last time the attitude of the staff was truly unacceptable. A blond woman who serves the tables on a terrace literally asked me and my parter to change tables because “she doesn’t have a lot of big tables available to other clients”. We had bags and a tiny Pomeranian pup who is only 6 month old. When I said that we actually need 2 extra chairs to sit a pup and the bags, she said that we can leave those on the ground. Dogs are not allowed on the chairs. Not mentioning that their manager before said that we can choose any table and chair which I was about to sit on had a gigantic dirty spot.

The behavior of this woman is rude, not service oriented. I do not know how this kind of people are even allowed to work with clients in a restaurant. They should clearly go and learn some manners. Your guests come with money and you spit in their faces. I’ve never seen such a rude attitude like she came from a wild place where they do not have a society.

Every single restaurant I was before with the pup welcomed us with open arms and was so kind. They provided my pup with a personal dog bowl, pillow or a blanket. If there weren’t any additional chair to sit my pup, they always brought it without a question with a smile. This place, however, is apparently not familiar with society norms. Hope they will understand that treating your guests like trash is not the way to make them return and spend...

Let me start by saying I come here every summer & I quite enjoy their truffle pasta. They always had the rudest staff but the food was nice so I keep coming back. Today, one of the staff decided it was finally time to insult my intelligence. My pasta came over cooked and stuck together. Mind you, I always pay for my food, and I had every intention to do so this time even though I didn’t like it, I only spoke up because I was upset that I’m going to pay so much for something I didn’t enjoy, so I just said to him “why is the pasta stuck together like this this time around, it’s not al dente, I didn’t enjoy it” and he actually had the audacity to turn around and say to me “Madame, this is fresh pasta, fresh pasta is impossible to make al dente” — No fam, just no. That was disgusting, when I laughed because I didn’t think he was serious, he actually got upset and kept arguing... I was so close to vomiting whatever I ate of that pasta all over that revolting place. Needless to say, I’m never going back in there again....

An sich ein schöner Laden mit echt ansprechender Aussenterasse. Ich war vorhin dort, leider wurde grade zu dem Zeitpunkt die Terrasse geschlossen. Ich hatte vor, dort einige Zeit zu bleiben, ein paar Getränke zu mir zu nehmen, doch leider wurde wie gesagt die Terasse grade geschlossen. Also nahmen wir in der Mall Platz , aber ohne die Absicht dort länger zu bleiben. Einfach schnell was trinken und gehen.Ich bestellte zwei Getränke, eins für mich, das andere für meine Frau. Diese tranken wir dann auch relativ zügig. Als ich nach einigen Minuten zahlen wollte, war der "Super Kellner" leider nicht da und ich zahlte das an der Theke. 8.80 € für zwei Getränke. Ich gab 9 weil ich es grade passend hatte. Dann kam besagter Super Kellner zurück, sah die Rechnung an, kam an den Tisch und knallte die 20 Cent da drauf mit dem Worten "hier Dankeschön" im Anschluss lief er noch an uns vorbei und sagte was soll ich mit 20 Cent. So jetzt direkte Worte an dich Kumpel. Ich mache den Job den du machst, schon wahrscheinlich vor deiner Geburt. Folgendes solltest du dir merken, damit du zukünftig nicht jeden Abend mit 5 Euro tip nach Hause gehst. Der Gast ist nicht dazu verpflichtet dir was zu geben.

Hab ich bei dir ein 4 Gänge Menü gegessen mit Weinservice und Beratung ? Hast du irgendwas gemacht ausser die Getränke von der Theke zu meinem Tisch 60 cm zu bewegen ?!?

Anscheinend machst du das noch nicht so lange und nur weil wir in Düsseldorf sind brauchst du nicht denken das man dir bei diesem "Service" 10 Euro Tip gibt.

Ich hab schon sehr viele schlechte Kellner gesehen, aber das was du dir da geleistet hast ist einfach nur unverschämt.

Ich komme gerne nochmal zu dir im Laden und arbeite gerne paar Stunden umsonst nur um dir zu zeigen wie man das richtig macht. Vielleicht gehst du dann Abends mit einem volleren Geldbeutel nach Hause und das Geld reicht dann noch für noch einen Topf Holland Haargel 🙂

Ansonsten schöner Laden, gute Location und gut eingerichtet.

PS: Ich gebe echt gerne Trinkgeld und das gelegentlich auch sehr großzügig. Aber dafür muss ein gewisses Maß an Service erbracht werden. Und das war bei diesem Besuch definitiv...
