Disappointing. I RESEARCHED a lot for any “top rated” cuisine here in Frankfurt and this the one I chose this evening. At first, no one greeted us for almost 5 minutes. ITS SO IMPORTANT to acknowledge guests! (You don’t want people walking away feeling ignored). The layout of resurtant was bad, they had a front patio, inside dining, then a massive patio area in the back, way to hectic and crazy and overwhelming for a “fancy dinner spot”. Me and 3 other parties of people were escorted to the back patio, at first I was almost seated in a small corner right next to a large party who had a dog on the floor that was under the table they tried seating me at. I asked to move which the host did. I got seated next to the other groups that followed the host. No one took any of our orders for close to 10 minutes. I ordered a small Bruschetta, and I received a full order, they were kind enough to let me keep it and charge me for the small, but still if they were more efficient and organized it would have never happened, they wouldn’t have lost product and profit. Next, the lasagne was the ONLY REASON why I came. The pictures advertised looked nice. When I received it, it was stone cold on the bottom. IT WAS NOT FRESH AND WAS NOT COOKED TO ORDER. I could tell they premade this, took it out of refrigerator, put it in bake dish, poured sauce and cheese and baked for a few minutes. Horrible and not authentic for the type of establishment they are trying to represent. Only enjoyable thing was the beer, and my secluded seating. Not very attentive staff yet I still left a tip because of the bruschetta and efforts. DONT COME, this literally a...

Why are non-German/Muslim guests treated differently?

It was my first time in this restaurant and I'm sure it will be my last.

I had dinner there with a friend and four friends spontaneously wanted to join us. My friends didn't look like Central Europeans and one of them was wearing a hijab. At first they were ignored by the staff at the door, after a while I asked our waitress if it was possible to get a table for six people where we could sit together. She pointed to a large table and said we could sit there. As we were about to sit down, someone who looked like the manager on duty came up to us and told us that they didn't have enough staff for more guests and couldn't do anything without a reservation. He wasn't interested in talking further or offering any other solution. I went back to able, where the waitress was confused as to why I was asking for the bill instead of seating me. After I told her that my friends were basically kicked out, she was very flustered and insecure, just said "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" and ran off.

The funny part of the story was that we stood outside for a few moments and at least six guests got a table immediately, which makes me wonder why my friends were treated differently.

I can understand that a restaurant is understaffed, that it takes a moment for food to be served, that you don't get the best table if you just walk in, but this?

Me and my friends will certainly never set foot in one of your restaurants again, but I trust that is what you...

That was one heck of a pizza! 😅 Let’s be honest: this pizza is HUUUUGE! But size isn’t everything that matters, is it? 😉 I ordered a Rustica, my friends ordered Gamberetti and Marinara, and luckily we enjoyed every bit of them! The tomato paste was very tasty, the toppings were balanced and delicious and the dough was well-cooked. We had a very pleasant experience! What I didn’t like is actually a matter of personal taste: the pizza was soooo thin, and could have benefited from a little bit more thickness rather than diameter to complement the taste, also when the place is crowded the nice waiter/waitress can easily get overwhelmed and doesn’t pay attention to an unclean table 😓 and even clean it with a smelly towel 🥲 But like I said, we had fun and enjoyed the pizza and the ambience. Happy tummies and didn’t hurt the wallet 😁 I am looking forward to...

L'Osteria Frankfurt Junghofstrasse is a true gem for Italian food lovers. The moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a delicious meal. The service was exceptionally swift and the staff were incredibly friendly, making the entire dining experience a pleasure. I opted for the risotto funghi, and it was nothing short of perfection. To top off the meal, I indulged in their tiramisu. It was the ideal sweet ending to a fantastic meal. While I didn't have the opportunity to try their pizza, the ones I saw being served looked absolutely mouthwatering, with their generous toppings and perfectly charred crusts. Without a doubt, L'Osteria Frankfurt Junghofstrasse is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Italian cuisine in the city.
