Authentic Hamburg Restaurant. I was staying in a BnB very close to this restaurant and while looking on Google maps I clicked on the little symbol and decided to go there. I try to travel not as a tourist but to experience the culture and the quirkiness and the differences between where I am and United States. This restaurant is LOCAL. Little English spoken or on the menu and no Wi-Fi. The chef is in the kitchen and his wife is at the bar. She handed me her iPhone and I used Google translate to understand the menu. The Labskaus was tasty, and somehow felt a bit different from what I've tasted before. Like instead of canned meat, they used something like pulled meat. But this is just my hunch.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Pfannkuchen though. It's like an omellete that has Mushroom sauce and pork wrapped inside it. And it tastes amazing. A German version of umami bomb, coupled with the delicious mushroom taste of the sauce.

The staff were really friendly and when they realised we were not locals, found a couple of English menus.
