A really nice homemade burger, kind of pricey but comparable to Five Guys in price and quality.
We got there around noon on a Sunday, it was filling up quickly (around 50% capacity when we arrived, 75% when we left). I wanted the Paris Burger vegetarian burger, but they didn’t have the patty prepared, so I got the regular Sunny Burger, with sweet potato fries for a 1,50 up charge. My husband got the Chicago burger. They have a wide assortment of soft drinks, including Proviant, water, juice, and Fritz-cola, and regular sodas (Fanta, coke, etc). Unfortunately mayo and ketchup for the chips cost extra!!! 1 euro! Shocking. For packets.
The food came decently quickly, within 10 minutes. There is seating inside and outside the restaurant, the seating outside is ok but right by a busy street.
The food was nice! The portions of fries and sweet potato fries are generous, and they are crispy! The veggie burger was clearly made with love from scratch. The bread was nice fluffy and fresh, not a generic packaged bun, more like a soft ciabatta style bun. I wish they put a little more effort into crafting nice sauces though. Mine had just generic packaged mayo and ketchup. My husband said his burger was pretty good, not spectacular but not bad. Overall I’d visit again to scratch a...
Read moreI tried the bacon cheeseburger with fries the first time and the same plus Apfelsaftschorle the second time around - both times for takeout. The burger and fries are great and reasonably priced; it took me some bites to get used to the patty, still good though, just a bit different. The service is OK - could be a bit more smiley, I guess - but no big deal.
What confused me however was that the first time around I ordered the burger and fries and I paid 10.40€, and only the second time around the server asked if I wanted to make it a meal, which together with a drink, ended up being exactly the same price. 🤔 So, maybe I just didn’t understand the first time around that I was indeed getting a meal and was supposed to just take a bottle as...
Read morebefore you order anything and get excited about the burgers, ask "what does 100% hausgemacht" really mean to them. Nothing tastes freshly made.
The sauces are a big disappointment. Burgers are dry. DO not go for the BBQ sauce.
For our order, we were asked to chose between ketchup oder mayo, and if both then it costs extra 1euro (since they use these small ketchup mayo sachets/packets).
Also the pricing when you order the Menu and exchange pommes with Süßkartoffeln pommes for an additional 1,50 does not make sense. I know it doesn't make a difference in taste, but very confusing when the difference in the normal price is 60cents, why does one have to pay...
