Café B20 — Restaurant in Mainz

I had worst experience with this bakery.

I ordered two cakes for my son's birthday. They said each cake is for 60€.

when I called them whether cakes are ready.!?

They said they are going to close the bakery as some burgalers broke in, bakery will be closed for one week, and may be they can wait for half an hour or hour at the most so that I can come and collect the cakes (they did not even bother to call me to convey it)

I hurried to reach there, I did not see any sign of burglary (I might be wrong also, I don't know). Cakes are ready but they said both cakes costs 240€.

I was shocked and asked about the double price, they said they cannot do anything as Baker charged it.

With no options left for me at that time as I had birthday parties with guests coming in, I paid and left that place with utter...

Wir waren gestern zu meinem Geburtstag im Café B20. Mein Mann hat es extra ausgewählt, weil sie mit glutenfreien Backwaren und Waffeln werben. Habe eine Zöliakie und muss deswegen strikt glutenfrei Leben. Die Kellnerin kannte sich überhaupt nicht mit Gluten aus und hatte keine Ahnung in welchen Speisen welche Allergene vorhanden sind. Sie hatten weder eine Allergenkarte noch fragte sie bei anderen nach. Es ist seit 2014 Pflicht, eine Allergenkarte zu haben oder geschultes Personal, welches über Allergene aufklärt. Ich sollte ein Essen wählen und sie wollte in der Küche nachfragen. Später kam sie dann nur mit dem Essen meines Mannes, weil mein gewähltes nicht glutenfrei war. Das war für sie ganz normal, dass sie nicht vorher erneut gefragt hat. So hat mein Mann dann alleine gegessen. Ich hab das gleiche wie er gewählt, Rührei, weil ich wusste, dass man da jetzt nicht so viel Mehl reinwerfen kann. Das kam dann auch nach einer Weile. Mein Mann war schon lange fertig. Butter gab's bei mir jedoch nicht dazu und auf Esssig und Öl musste meine Salatbeilage auch verzichten. Auf Nachfrage nach Butter wurde mir gesagt, ich hätte doch eine gluten-und Laktoseintoleranz und sie hätten keine laktosefreie Butter. Das habe ich nicht. Aber wenn finde ich es ein Armutszeugnis, dass man als städtischen Café bei 30% Menschen mit Laktoseintoleranz keine Laktosefreie Alternative anbietet. Hatte nicht das Gefühl, dass man diesem Café wirklich trauen kann, wenn man Allergien oder Unverträglichkeiten hat. Würde es nicht wieder besuchen und niemandem mit Allergien empfehlen. War ein absoluter Reinfall für meinen Geburtstag. Sonst nehme ich mir immer Brötchen selbst mit und das hat in jedem Café bisher extrem...

Next time someone orders to take out there should be more care about instructions. I asked for a waffle to take out and specifically requested it without ice cream. Result was that I got the ice cream packed in a paper box and it melted all over my clothes and I had to ask for a bag at another restaurant to pack the box before it fell apart. Really not happy about this. Can't even enjoy my waffle at this point cause of the frustration I am feeling. ETA: the waffle was over baked and rock hard, edges were even burned. Wasn't able...
