Came here on an August Saturday evening with my family of 2 adults and 3 kids (nearly ages 6, 4, and 2) for a reservation I made for 5:30pm several days in advance on their website. The reservation process was seamless and easy online, and even easy to modify after it's made. I was disappointed the restaurant is closed on Sundays, and that it opens so late for dinner (because of the kids, who are usually crashing by 6pm after a day of sightseeing). We were there about 10 minutes early, but the gate to the terrace didn't open until 5:30 on the dot. They brought us to an outdoor table, and when I reminded them I asked for an inside seat, they said it was too hot inside but I was welcome to look around inside and take photos (it was almost better, as there were no crowds obscuring the view). The interior indeed is beautiful, and you can imagine all of the uses the building has been through in its history. The bathroom facilities were on the second floor, large and clean. The patio/terrace itself is nice if a little crowded, but the ambiance is good. The food was AMAZING if slightly expensive - we had the rumpsteak, schnitzel, fries, tomato soup, and buttered pasta for the kids, and it was all wonderful. The service was good yet occasionally frustrating - the staff was friendly and knowledgable, but sometimes slow and forgetful, but it was a Saturday night and our waitress was overall very good, but little delays like that makes dining with children just a tad more difficult. They did offer us a highchair, which we declined. There were very few bees, thankfully, and a TON of shade. They also had English menus. Overall, I had a GREAT experience here and would eat here again if I was in the area.
