Short version: The Vietnamese dishes have great texture, are spiced for German tastes, and it's all a little pricey.
Long version: My Vietnamese-born companion and I went last weekend. We had tofu, curry, veggies, salad, rice for one dish, salmon, veggies, salad, rice for the other. The texture of everything was great for our tastes. The taste was adapted to Western tastes, we both thought. Which is not bad, but worth noting, especially if you're not willing to go all crazy authentic: this place's Vietnamese dishes should be for you. Neither of us liked the tofu too much. It tasted a little sour (not spoiled). But, again, we're tofu connoisseurs so... most people probably wouldn't notice -- or actually prefer this taste. The Vietnamese coffee is good, but nothing special. We both found the music too sleep-inducing for the occasion.
For the quantitatively minded: Both dishes were size just right. We paid 34 € for the aforementioned two main dishes and two drinks. After we had seen the prices we convinced ourselves that while we were hungry, we weren't actually that hungry -- and skipped our usual appetizers. That's how we came...
Read moreMy new favorite sushi restaurant! We went to celebrate my birthday so we definitely weren’t concerned about the price but we were very surprised at how well priced all our food was. It seems that anything sushi related is through the roof expensive. The sushi was amazing and the fish tasted fresh. The appetizers were delicious and seemed home made, not frozen. We ordered the appetizers for 2 and the sushi platter for 2. It was more than enough food. I can eat a good amount of sushi so I usually do not like sharing, but this was more than enough for me and my husband.
I loved the vibe of this restaurant. We did make a reservation beforehand so I’m not sure if they take walk ins and they also take credit card. This is definitely going to be my new go to sushi spot. If you love sushi I would definitely give this...
Read moreI'm not impressed. They advertise selfs as the best sushi place but sushi it is a bit overwhelming. I'm not sure that this is because in Germany everything must be oversized or what. Quality is ok, as expected. I think it is more quantity then quality place now, and bit overpriced. Visually it is really astunning, love that look. Also, staff is quite ignorant and not really helpful (that is minus one star) and there is no possibility to pay with the card (that is another minus star), can someone explain me how it can works in the middle of Europe, in the middle of "most powerful" country , in the middle of biggest aglomeration, in the centre of big, popular city in not-so-cheap restaurant you cannot pay with the card? That is shame and shows a great disrespect to the customers leaving there a...
