Pizzarei — Restaurant in Munich

Driven by the excellent reviews read here on google and by the advertising seen on some social profiles, we decided to book a dinner for Saturday night in this new pizzeria. The restaurant has an excellent location in the city, right in the center and the interior decor is nice. However the service and especially the food were more than disappointing. The drinks (spritz) are made with a machine and were consequently watered down. The pizza had too heavy and hard to digest dough (many tables like our were leaving with a box containing the pizza they couldn't finish), plus the fact that a simple addition of olives costs € 3 more than the regular price. The schnitzel was losing its breading and the French fries were gnecks. We also ordered a pinsa, which came about the size of half a pizza. Pointing out its inadequacy in respect to the image shown on the menu (which applied also to the pizza: the image of the menu did not correspond at all to what arrived at the table) and at the price of over € 18, it was brought back and on request replaced with a normal pizza. The problem is that this pizza arrived more than an hour later, when the other diners had already finished. The dining room staff was not at all attentive to what was happening, but continued to claim that the pizza was almost ready. The pizza was brought to the table only after threatening to leave without paying for it. I assign a star because it cannot be given zero, otherwise this would have been my vote. I have doubts about the sincerity of the reviews that praise the place as an excellent pizzeria: be wary of all this because neither the service nor the food can even define it...

I had a really disappointing experience here last night. We had a reservation for 8:15pm but arrived early at 7:40pm. We politely asked if there was any chance of being seated earlier, and the staff told us it would be 5–10 minutes, which we were happy to wait for. However, we ended up waiting until our original reservation time anyway. When we asked another staff member how much longer it would be, they were quite rude and dismissive, simply saying, “Well, your reservation is at 8:15pm, so you have to wait until 8:15pm.” If we’d been told that upfront, we would have happily gone somewhere else for a drink instead of wasting 35 minutes standing around.

When we finally sat down, things didn’t improve much. The person taking our order was quite abrupt and rude when answering our questions about the menu, which really took away from the experience.

To top it all off, when we got the bill, we noticed after paying that they had added a €20 tip without asking us. This wasn’t a service charge — it was just added on, and we only spotted it when looking at the receipt afterwards. It felt really sneaky and dishonest, and if we’d known, we definitely wouldn’t have agreed to it.

Went to the restaurant as a group of three. Two of us ordered regular coca-cola in English. Instead we received drinks (in our opinion) that clearly tasted like Coca-Cola Zero. When we confronted the waiter about it in approximately 20 minutes he called his colleague for help, who asked us what was the problem in English. We described to him our concern about the drinks. After that the waiter asked his colleague in German what he had served us, to what he replied that he had served us Coca-Cola Zero. But to us he replied that it was a regular cola.

Also in the receipt it was stated that we ordered Coca Cola Zero. When we confronted second waiter about it, he stated that we were served regular cola and that it is not a problem at all that the receipt states otherwise since it is the same price.

It is not a big deal if a waiter makes a mistake, we all are human it is totally understandable, but to lie brazenly to your customer instead of politely fixing it in my opinion is not correct.

Also to my mind the google review rating is deceptive since two previous 1 star reviews of my friends were removed for being “defamatory”.
