I was in Munich for work at DLR. During the week-end, when visiting Munich centre, I was looking for an Italian restaurant and I found "Trattoria Pizzeria Lago di Garda". I have ordered "Lasagna al Forno" that in Italy is a widespread course, each family knows how it has to be prepared. Here I found a "lasagna" drowned in a tomato liquid sea unexpectly. The lasagna itself was not so bad, but the quality/price ratio was too low. I cannot pay 14 EUR for an "Italian" lasagna when the course does not respect the classic lasagna that we know in Italy. Furthermore the prices for other services, like a wine glass of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, on my opinion are very high (8 EUR for 0,25 l it is a lot, also because I am living in Abruzzo and know which Montelpuciano wine is costly). At the end I orderer an espresso, also for this the price was high, 2,60 EUR!!! Now, it could be ok for the German life cost, but: if you know that you are serving an Italian, maybe the price of espresso could be reviewed; be careful about the presentation of the course (if it is an Italian course)
I will not come back, mainly because I found better Italian...

The staff here are very friendly and the restaurant is not on a main street so it is quiet and tucked away. This is one of the few gems of the italian food restaurants in Munich.
The starters are tasty with high quality ingredients, we had bruschetta for stater and they were very nice!
The main meals are also very good with nice pizza, nice meat - pepper steak was really good and the meat was generally very good.
The wine list prices are very reasonable especially for a city and the desserts are really the only criticism of restaurants as they are pretty average.
The food selection is very good, locally popular with good service and decent prices. Would definitely recommend to tourists and...
Read moreLocated in city centre of Munich, it is surprisingly homely with moderate decor and warm atmosphere.
Ordered Pizza capricciosa, it was so delicious that my daughter won’t let me share it with her. The topping is fresh and the salami tastes wonderful. The size is moderate (32cm), which is just perfect for us and the base is light and crispy.
The Tiramisu is like their signature dish that every table orders. For my daughter, the Italian waiter suggested something else (chocolate mouse ball with vanilla ice cream inside) she finished it within 2 mins with a huge smile.
Definitely...
