My husband and I only had one night in Munich, and we greatly enjoyed the hospitality at Weinbar Griabig. It's 'Munich fancy's cousin, Munich hipster chic. The place is sufficiently slapdash, a bit of chipping paint here, a bit of upcycled crate-turned-table there, crooked corners and bare windows, but with a price only the Munich middle class can afford. A place only the Munich working young with aspirations of culture bother to be seen in.

Wine was good. Tartar was alright. Loved the hopster limo. Service friendly.

Perfectly unpretentious wine bar with an alpine flair, a local crowd and very nice food. It's a cool non-touristy place.

The entire bar is setup with a certain local flair in mind and you feel welcome when you step in. It's worth trying wines that you didn't know before and trust the judgement of the staff when it comes to food-wine pairings.
