Ice Queen Gelato — Restaurant in Athens

Horrible experience. While the young man inside was polite and nice, the older lady who claimed to be the boss/owner with the short gray hair was extremely rude and disrespectful. After getting our crepes, coffee, and “fresh” fruit (which were all mediocre at best) the older woman came outside and started yelling at us. She shoved our table and chairs inside the yellow lines and screamed that they had to be inside the lines, however, multiple other tables were outside the lines and we found the table we were at as it was. When we pointed out that other tables were also outside the yellow lines she replied that we can tell them ourselves and that she is the boss of the place and the boss of us. For such mediocre food I would expect the service to at least not be so rude. Would not recommend this place whatsoever, especially if you are American. There are plenty of other places around with better food/drinks and much better service. I’ve been to multiple places across Europe in general and Athens and Greece specifically and have never encountered such a rude woman and customer service. The worst customer service ever! When ordering the blond dyed hair lady was taking our order whilst taking another lady’s order and confusing us all. After I received my order and taking one bite, I cut up the crepe palina with strawberry and found HAIR (this was 1-2 mins after receiving my plate)! Upon making this known to the blonde lady she immediately refused it was their problem and that no one had black hair. The guy who made our crepe did have black hair!!! The older, white hair lady also chimed in saying no one has black hair. The blonde lady, white hair lady, and the guy who made our crepe were all standing there. As they were talking and feeling like it was my fault, I didnt want any to do with them! This post is to make known that if you have an issue like this in the future - do not go up to them. They were all unhelpful with accusatory tone and customer service towards me was very poor and not how one should approach valuable customers (where they come from around the world). Absolutely disgusted in the service I received at this shop today. Was in a group of 4 and we had bought some gyros from a shop next door which had no seats left, so we sat down at this ice cream place and decided to buy a couple of juices. One of us went up to the counter and bought 2 juices (which cost 9 euros) and as soon as he came back to the table the lady from the shop started screaming at us to leave because we had food from another shop even though we had just purchased 2 juices. She continued to scream in all of our faces and basically pushed us out of the store. I went back in the store with the 2 untouched juices and asked for a refund since we were not allowed to sit at the store and they refused. Absolutely horrible service, these people need to learn how to treat paying customers with respect and if we are not allowed to sit down with food from another shop then this should have been vocalised BEFORE we purchased our drinks, instead of waiting until AFTER they had taken our money to scream at us....
