Psyche Wine Restaurant — Restaurant in Athens

What a nice surprise! This is an amazing bistrot just 10 mins away from syntagma square. The food is delicious. Fresh, high-quality ingredients are used. Plates' presentations are excellent.

I for sure would not label this restaurant as a michelin star one, but I think that this place is the right mix between formal and informal, chic and rustic.

The highlights about the place are the covered outside area which brings you to a relaxing state, the staff who is attentive and serves each order at the right time, and the wine list.

Something that I would mention is that the inside space is a bit smaller and I'm not quite sure if something would need to be changed in order to make it stand out as much as the outside area. Also, the menu was only in Greek, I do not know if they have an English menu but hopefully they do.

Overall, I had a great time and I totally recommend this place to both tourists and locals alike. It's perfect for a date or to impress your friends by knowing a place which is not the usual greek taverna.

This was a terrible experience, truthfully one of the worst I’ve had in a long time. I’m giving this place 2 stars (rather than 1) because the wine list is great. I ordered the Beef Pappardelle and it was devoid of flavor, a very bland dish. The beef itself had some good flavor but the pasta was super plain and likely cheap store bought noodles, that paired with the beef and no type of sauce made this dish just terrible. So, I sent the dish back, which I never do. I got another pasta dish and it was better, not great though. But here’s the worst part, they tried charging me for both dishes and when I flagged this to my server she tried debating me on why I should pay for the dish I sent back. The manager finally came and took it off my bill. But this was bad service all around. The server or manager never came back after the new dish was delivered to check if I was now enjoying the meal either. What a terrible experience. So disappointed we wasted one night eating there when there are so many more great spots to eat...
