Enodia — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

Saw that place on google with a 5* reviews, unfortunately the experience wasn’t so great, came for a brunch at 12.30 and just ordered 3 drinks and 3 dishes, waited for more than 40 minutes for the drinks not without having the staff telling us in between that they were out of orange juice after 20 min and coming back 10 minutes later to tell us that they had one last one, waited for more than 30 extra minutes for 2 toast, 1 scrambled eggs and 5 more minutes for an omelet. I would understand if it was on a crowded night fully packed with customers, problem is there was just 4 tables with customers…

Then when I asked for the bill they said unfortunately only today the card machine wasn’t working…

The staff was nice but maybe way too chill, I don’t even know if I was the one on vacation or if they were, no sorry for the wait or delay, I don’t need no gesture from them but at least please realize that it was a poor service and act accordingly, I will unfortunately not come back here and if I can recommend one thing for other people, please don’t get fools by the 5* reviews especially when there are...

Just go and find another place to eat. I am not sure how this place has 5 star reviews even if the number is low. Maybe they’re paid? Because the food was not good. We got the Cubano and it was just a stack of lettuce and a little bacon, no sauce, no cheese, not toasted. Completely bland and boring and fell apart. The burger was slathered in mayo and was edible but not impressive. The blueberry pancakes were full of blue dye and had 4 blueberries on top with a pound of custard that was not good. They also took 15 minutes to give us maple syrup so the pancakes were cold anyway.

The service was bare minimum and one of the servers had an attitude the entire time. Not to mention, she took our food order and THEN said the food was going to take a long time because they’re busy except that half the tables weren’t even sat and most people already had food. But it indeed, took a very long time. I never leave bad reviews but I really couldn’t understand how this place was rated 5 stars...

I ordered what was advertised as a 100% Angus beef burger, but what I received was grey in colour with a soft, bread-like texture — nothing like quality beef. Based on the taste and texture, I strongly believe it was a blend of beef and pork.

This was especially frustrating as I made a point of asking before ordering, due to dietary restrictions. I was reassured it was 100% beef. After taking a bite, I asked again, and the waiter repeated the claim without checking with the kitchen. It felt dismissive and dishonest.

Not the experience I expected — wouldn’t return...
