Minaret Suites & Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

We stayed over the New Year celebrations of 2020, pre Covid19. The communication before, during and after the reservation was excellent. The section with the newer rooms offers modernity in style (minimalistic) amentities and enhanced comfort through a very good A/C system, large shower room etc. The older rooms have more charm in my opinion, but in the winter you will miss the A/C. We were offered a spacious superior room-junior suite facing the busy little street at old town, yet there was no noise at all and we were very warm and comfortable. We even found parking space at the street leading to the port. Despite the cold rainy weather, the superb location at old town and close to the port (10 mins walk), availed to us lots restaurants, cafes etc where we had breakfast and some amazing meals w/out having to walk much. Food in Chania is superb. So is the hospiatlity of its peope and Katia was the highlight of our stay. She helped us find restaurants for NY eve and NY day and she was efficient, polite, obliging, friendly, throughout. Overall, great quality at great prices, superb value! I highly...

It is my second time visiting Chania and first time with Minaret Suites and Apartments, we booked through booking.com and it was easy. If your room is ready you can check in earlier. Very nice location and nice staff at the recepption.||||The cleaning staff however does not respect the sign "do not disturb", the first night we were woken up by a loud nock and yelling if we wanted cleaning where to we answered no and referred to the sign ln the door. The second day we left the sign "do not disturb" on and left at 11 am and when we came home at 5 pm our room had been cleaned anyways. It feels a bit unsafe because you can not leave your privates out - they enter and/or disturb you whether the sign is on or not which ruins the idea of having the sign in the...
