2 stars may seem harsh but it's a restaurant I wouldn't recommend so I can't give it a better rating. Likes: I had sushi and it was good, all the ingredients seemed of great quality. Dislikes: The restaurant doesn't really have a distinct identity. The menu is very uninspired, there are some very modern dishes including several cultures but why would I order an Angus steak with vegetables in an asian oriented place with a japanese name. I expected the place to have more of a Japanese flavour and I was happy to find ramen in the menu although it is offered as a side dish (?) and I find it offensive to all of us ramen lovers that you don't specify what type of ramen it is (type of soup, meat part, noodle type) and when I inquired the waiter about the part of pork he replied "it's pork like the rest" I want to know is it pork belly? Is it pork steak? Etc (he had no clue unfortunately). And I didn't forget about the prices. For the quality of ingredients I give a pass for the prices, for the restaurant overall though it's a bit overpriced I dont like the idea of having to pay at least 30 euros per person and having to dine next to the street where passing tourists stare at me. I suppose the owners prefer to have fewer customers that are willing to pay more than having a lot of customers who have a tighter budget. Which is acceptable, but on the other hand the overall quality of the place is not at that level. Their ideal customers seems to me to be someone with lots of money and no taste. That is why I don't...
Read moreI had dinner tonight in that place cause i do like japanese food and culture. Let's say we're far from japanese sense of hospitality. The service is awful. It was like eating amongst Adam's family. No welcoming or greating words. Some places have dress codes, theirs seemed to be "no smiles here, we 're a bunch of fake rebels". The atmosphere was really dreadfull. This is so pityfull to think that the poor pals imagine themselves so cool for acting this way. Hey, guys, wake up, you're not models posing for fashion magazines. Do your damn job or leave it to people more qualified. Last but not least, the far too many waiters seemed to be idle except to make fun of people. Fortunately, the food was good but as you guess the moment was totally spoiled by the unauthentic atmosphere and a very bad service despite the numerous waiters. To conclude, a restaurant to avoid if you're looking for a...
Read moreI would highly suggest to look fancy, cause if you simply want to stop for a try "as a tourist" they will treat you as a street dog. Food itself was fine, atmosphere also, but service is something I would not accept even from the worst allinone pizza/pasta/kebab station place. Was looking 3 waitresses which were joking and laughing with no work for around 5 min, they saw me, but decided to ignore, none asked if i want an additional drink once mine was empty on half dinner, none asked if all is going good, we were simply thrown our starter order on the table with no welcome and till the end looked superficially and presumptuous... but if you look fancy as another table was, you will maybe recieve a smile or two. Honestely, the most unwelcoming place in all Creta, carring for appearance and not content, something what describes place itself....
