The restaurant specialises in meat dishes with fries or salad, as well as salads in huge portions at more than fair prices!

The service is very friendly and courteous and, after the second visit at the latest, almost friendly.

The quality of the dishes, the various meat dishes and the salads is exceptionally high. As a result, we always encountered the same guests and families during our visits. In this restaurant, guests quickly become regulars.

The spare ribs are huge and feel like half a small pig! The "bifteki" (confusingly referred to as patties on the menu) are two huge meatballs (see photo), which are wonderfully seasoned and flavoured.

On our second visit, I ordered the Amatantou28 burger, which was a sensation! (see photo) A brioche bun was stacked with a large pattie, fresh tomatoes, caramelised onions, gherkins, thinly sliced haloumi cheese and slices of pastrami plus sauce! Comes with fries or mixed salad. This is finally a real signature burger, which is only available here in this fantastic explosion of flavour! All meat dishes are served on a pile of fries on wooden boards with BBQ sauce on the side. As an alternative to the fries, all dishes can also be ordered with a mixed salad. The large salads (see photo) have an excellent mustard and honey dressing and are very varied in their choice of ingredients, such as pomegranate seeds, apple, various green salads, Roquefort cheese (can also be changed) and various thin, crispy pita chips. Very tasty tzaziki can be ordered separately. The kebabs, souvlaki skewers and wraps with different types of meat are also excellent.

All in all, the Amarantou28GRILLHOUSE is an insider tip that really comes highly recommended, right next to "The Last Butler", Rhodes' hippest jazz and cocktail bar. The music programme in the restaurant is therefore...

Visited 18.8.2024 General: a nice inviting place on a narrow street. Good location too. I don't know if there is a wc/toilet as there was no need to use one. We left with a good feeling.

Food: Ordered a chicken filet with side salad but it was delivered with fries. It came with two dipping sauces. A tomato based barbeque and a olive-mustard. I must say the bbq one is absolutely perfect. Very delicious. Fries are ok but could use a bit more salt (and pepper). The chicken filet was well made, moist and tasted good. Combine the bbq and chicken and it's a winner. The dry white house wine is tasty and fresh. Sad about the mistake for the order but otherwise i can recommend a visit to this place. 3+/5.

Service: very friendly and informative, polite personnel. Food came to table fairly quick. 5/5.

Atmosphere: it is nice. Good feeling overall. Clean tables and floors. Not too hot either. 5-/5

Overall: pricing was nice and we felt well served. Price to execution is very good indeed. Overall - due to mistake for the order - fries could be a bit better and good feeling for sure but...

The food was simply amazing! Perfect taste and a wide variety of choices. I would especially highlight the veal steak, grilled to perfection medium – just like enjoying a real Florentine. The kodosufli, meatballs, and chicken kalamakia were outstanding as well, so tender they literally melted in the mouth. The portions were large and generous, more than we could finish.

The service was excellent – fast, attentive, and always with a smile. Every request was handled immediately, showing both professionalism and warm hospitality.

The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and lively, with a family-friendly vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Right next door there’s even a live music venue, which adds an extra touch to the experience.

As for the prices, they are the best in the area, offering outstanding value for the quality.

Without any doubt, this is a place I will return to and highly recommend...
